Why are people dog set about removing their freedom Driver 04/17/2018 (Tue) 11:23:44 Id: fab9ea No. 15714 [Reply]
Hi /o/ to generate discussion I propose a question that's been on my mind for a bit. What's the appeal of car share programs? Or self driving cars? Why do people seem determined to give up their freedom of movement granted by owning a car and being able to drive? Now, I do get some of it being related to cost, just buying, insuring, and maintaining is expensive, only buying a house will be a bigger expense. And if you're in, or close, to a major metropolis then space is a premium (and often sold at a similar price). So parking or having your own spot to work on your car can be a hassle. And also Normies are fucking retarded, I get that too. But who would want to drive a literal rental car everyday (cause even if you're retarded you know how those get treated). But even you can at least decide where you want to go, how to get there and so forth. Then there's finally the supposed "revolution" of self driving cars. If you're so uninterested in driving at that point why even bother owning a car? IDK, maybe it's just me completely misunderstanding how these things work and how they're used. But outside of stupid congested areas where you can walk to places instead (which is where I mostly see these things and they kinda make sense) they don't make sense to me. It seems more like a tourist thing but a tourist has to be able to GET to the places and would make better plans using existing public transport. Anyways TL;DR What are /o/'s thoughts on Car Share?

>>15790 > but are considered a bitch to maintain Because of tolerances. Gasoline engines can have bigger gaps because the pressure they work on, while still being important, it's not as high as in a diesel and the leaks are less severe. The diesel has to be airtight, because it uses the heat from the pressure to ignite the fuel, other than that. Apart from that, unless you still have an indirect combustion chamber, the timing can wreck your shit, the valves can hit the piston head fucking up everything in the process, less performance oriented gasoline engines might be able to snap the timing belt without hitting the valves. I wouldn't try experimenting it unless you are 100% sure that the valves and the pistons don't share the same space And then, there's all the soot clogging your shit, specially clogging the intake valve thanks to the brilliant genius that decided to recirculate exhaust gases into the combustion chamber.
It's bugs wanting all of their needs taken care of for them by other people. They have no sense of ownership. Ownership means having to pay for and maintain something. Having to either be prideful or ashamed of your vehicle. That means personal accountability. We can't have that in a leftist paradise, now can we? On the other hand, we as people are extremely keen to give in to what's easiest, rather than what's best. This is just the market providing for our laziness and complacency regarding our own urges. Tl;dr: The holocaust should have happened.

I would have to be subordinate to lead designers that put out cucked shit like this. I'm still a poor mechanic though, h-haha Sam was right when he said modern cars are pretty much designed to turn you into a cuckold. You can feel it when you're in modern cars. Something is just missing, something exciting - fun, sexy. It's all gay soccermom-friendly shit now.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfXHiydW16E Was looking around for a torrent and found this on youtube. Funimation also has Second Stage on their channel, but nothing later than that. Here's the playlist for First Stage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVG7zusJ1t8&list=ELLBPz0QR3ebI Third, Fifth and Final Stages are readily available on nyaa, but I can't find Fourth Stage anywhere. If anyone has it or knows where to find it, please post it. I also came across an "Initial D Legend" trilogy, never heard of it but it looks like it was released last year? Also available on nyaa. Also, here is the complete manga that an anon posted a while ago: https://mega.nz/#F!cQUFHJJa!MFUJaCq-RJ1ry1EAUGOU5w
