Waifu Humpd/a/y Stream - Café Edition
How's it going, anon?

Getting through the week alright? Enjoying the season? We're going to be stress testing the backup streaming server courtesy of anon.cafe's BO holding a small weekday stream over here.
Since this isn't the regular stream, you'll have to redirect your music player over to: http://radio.anon.cafe:8000/stream.m3u

We'll be playing Shibayan records bossa nova CDs, but you are welcome to make /r/s. I'm gonna hit the showers and make some dinner here, this is a lazy stream tonight.
Don't know if it's just on my end but the stream goes in and out.
>>460
It's probably my shitty connection, honestly.
Hmmmmmm... Something's definitely up. Lemme try something.
(521.90 KB 1920x1080 comfy flesh.jpg)

Here from /v/ stalker thread.
I lowered the bitrate a bit, it appears to have stabilized the connection I think.
>>464
Still getting issues but I'm sure I'm far away from where you are hosting.
>>465
I think the streaming server is in Romania and I'm in America, so that could be influencing it.
I'm gonna go take a shower and prep dinner, so there shouldn't be any other major RAM usage or network usage from my computer for the next 15-30 minutes (should give us some information about where the lag is generating).
>>466
It is going through a long series of tubes.

Good thing we're stress testing this and working out the kinks now. Is cafe the bunkers bunker?
It’s rock solid for me and I’m receiving it through a VPN that terminates in America, so it’s hopping across three separate continents.
(222.15 KB 744x1052 1555896622577-0.png)

>>468
Café is their own imageboard, but I like to think of them as the bunker's bunker or just a chill place to relax. I try to pop my head in at least a couple times a week since they were nice and let us hijack this board the last time smug was kill.
(233.35 KB 614x719 cute bulbasaur.jpg)

Listening to this while playing pokemon rescue team blue, since unfortunately my O3ds sounds shit the bed and I haven't bothered to get it repaired yet. Comfy/10
Just how many Clockup Flowers remixes are there?
>>471
Haven't played Blue since it came out. I turned out to be a Treecko and Charmander was my wingman.

How'd your 3ds break? If you don't have the skills/equipment to fix it. It would probably be cheaper to pick up something used.
>>470
/ita/lians colonizing Julay. Smug little girls colonizing /cafe/. Imageboard migrations are truly a strange phenomenon.
>>473
I'm guessing a loose connector/ fucked ribbon cable. I got a quote for about $50 to replace it and the videos I've seen on it make me not want to do it myself. Very fiddly to do and more expensive to get the tools/materials outright. I got pikachu and got bulbasaur as my companion. I've gotten mudkip, and charmander as my PC before.
>>459
Good to see you all again! I'll be checking on things behind the scenes from time to time; the server's not even thinking about breaking a sweat yet. Enjoy~
(8.72 KB 624x484 1570995498977.png)

>>475
Ever since the GBA SP Nintendo build quality has been going generally downhill with some exceptions. $50 is the most I'd pay for a repair after that I'd say get one of the XLs. I have one and the larger screen is nice. Hinge is a little floppy though.

>>476
Thanks for having us.
I can't believe you invited /v/. Actually I can, fuck you torp.
/r/ Aho.
(424.37 KB 533x468 1519527334638-3.gif)

>>478
I invited S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s to a comfy 2hu bossa nova stream on an unrelated third party's imageboard, flen.
>>479
Yeah, whatever. I have to go anyway but I hope you'll still be here when I get back.
>Aho.
>>480
I've got 4ish hours of music lined up, but I might go an extra hour with non-Bossa Nova music.
>>482
I shouldn't be longer than an hour, cheers.
>>476
By the way, give me a heads up if there's specific boards you'd prefer I didn't advertise on, otherwise I figured since it's a /cafe/ stream it's free game in that regard (likewise I don't think anyone minds if you let other imageboards borrow your servers on your terms for streaming since they're, well, your servers). I can't think of a better way of wording that so I hope it doesn't sound rude.
>>484
I don't particularly care who you invite, but that's just me.
I’ve been playing Disco Elysium, which is a kind of cyber-dieselpunk noir Planescape. I’m only a few hours in but I love it. It’s beautiful and depressing and psychedelic and just full on in a way I haven’t seen games do for a long time. But what I love most is that the skills you spec out in character creation form shards of your personality that are always doing skill checks in the background during conversations or encounters and will cut in with colour, advice, or interference very often. My favourite is a skill called Inland Empire, which seems to represent how well-developed your inner reaches are, and it manifests itself as scenes where you imagine the murder victim’s corpse is talking to you, or sometimes strong and irrational intuitions. Even your drug habit is a skill and has its own input into conversations and encounters. You’re also unreliable as a narrator.

I shouldn’t be talking about it here but it’s what’s in my heart right now. Give it a look. It’s wonderful.
>>486
>I shouldn’t be talking about it here but it’s what’s in my heart right now.
Why? This is just a comfy thread.
>>486
It does look neat but I haven't been able to get into anything that isn't a map painting simulator lately. Even then I'm just creating scenarios and watching the ai fight it out.
Why does bossa nova sound so cafe-like, anyway?
The stream crapped out on me and I can't seem to get it restarted. Just thought I'd share.
>>490
It also cut out on me for a moment, but came back straight after.
>>489
Don't know but this coffee and manga are having me near peak comfy. Just need a better chair.
IRL cafes are generally not as comfy as 2D depicts them.
>>492
>not going to cafes that tell normalfags “sorry, we’re closed” while letting through anyone who proves they’re properly into one of the owner’s many hobbies
It’s real. I found one.
>>491
The regular streams crap out on me, but I can just restart them and it works again. I'm specifically having trouble getting the stream to start at all. It's back on now, though.
>>493
Where? As in general location in the world.
I'm back! How long was I gone for?
>>493
>anon found the secret level
>>484
With more and more boards popping up on the webring every day, it’s hard to give an exhaustive list of particular undesirables. Your judgement tempered by /a/‘s bullying should suffice.
>>495
A little bit. We're around the beginning-midpoint of Volume 4 of 7 of Shibayan Records 2hu Bossa Nova.
>>496
It does feel like that. I was wandering a part of the city I’ve been through many times before and I must have gone down a different street than usual. One of the signs stood out to me so I went down its alleyway. The window had little glass chalk drawings on it that seemed to be from customers and there was paraphernalia visible through the window that interested me. I look at their Twitter feed and see photographs of hobby things that I’m into. Must be a customer that came in or a flavour of the month thing, I think.

So I go back during opening hours with a hobby thing of my own. I see people inside but the sign says “closed”. I go up to the door and a woman comes out.
>”Are you open?”
>”No, we’re closed.”
>”Oh, really? Your Twitter feed said you were open though.”
>”Well, see, we’re about <hobby1>, <hobby2>, and so on... it’s not really for the public. So unless you’re into-“
>”This?”
>unzip a little of the bag I’m carrying, showing hobby item inside
>she visibly relaxes
>”Oh, good. In that case, come in. You should have called! Who introduced you?”
>”Oh no, I was just walking past and thought it looked like my kinda place.”

It was my kinda place. The food was absolutely delicious (they smoked their own cheese), they served great whiskey, I chatted with the owners about the hobby, and later other people came in. The whole thing basically seemed to be run by the owners out of their first floor because they wanted to, like they just couldn’t be bothered with society and decided to figure out this way of doing things. As I was leaving the woman owner gave me the place’s card with her mobile number handwritten on the top and told me to call ahead next time I wanted to come back so they could make sure there was enough room and get the place ready if needed.

What hobby?
>>501
Dolls and shooting.
>>502
I want to get into dolls one day when I'm not a poorfag.
(93.22 KB 391x500 good_job.jpg)

Yosh~

Playlist is complete. We'll wrap up in roughly two and a half hours. After the Bossa Nova I'll have some comfy/melancholic music and a little classical music to finish off the evening.
>>504
Thanks pissu.
(225.93 KB 762x687 534338754435354.png)

Getting your transmission loud and clear.
>>503
They’re not an inexpensive hobby. But if you go for PVC dolls like the Volks Dollfie Dream line then they’re not bank-breaking. Their standard dolls are very cute except Towa, she has downs, BRING BACK MIIKO so it’s a matter of picking the face, bust size, body plan, etc that you like the most. There are also injection-moulded budget dolls coming out of the troubled Smart Doll line by Danny Choo but having seen their "higher-end” units in person and seeing the company’s attitude toward their quality control issues (“it’s not a defect, it’s wabi sabi goys”) as well as its general contempt for customers, I have to recommend against them. Go with Volks.

There’s a >>>/doll/ board starting up here on anon.cafe if you want to know more.
>>493
>no normalfags allowed
that sounds great.
>>507
Nice, thanks. I'm thinking of something along the lines of a flat chest, long brown hair, winter clothes, and penetrable.
(308.92 KB 800x600 1553390543529-1.jpg)

>>509
I hope you mean by scale items other than a micropenis Anon. 1/1 scale is not cute!
>>504
Thanks, pissu. Nice comfy selection for background music.
>>511
Surely the material would stretch enough to accommodate the tip?
>>513
You do know non-organic materials when they stretch become permanently stretched, right anon? You've owned an onahole, right?
>>514
No. I've been a poorfag for my entire life.
>>515
I have too. Never stopped me from owning a handful.
>>509
DAME!
>>516
I just never feel that I can justify the cost when I have a hand that already does the job.
>>518
I said the same thing until I actually got one. I still use my hand most of the time because it's a hassle to clean/dry it, but onaholes are superior to both the hand and the real deal.
>>519
But if I get a doll + onahole wouldn't that be cheaper?
>>520
Is a combo meal cheaper than a burger? I don't think this is really appropriate for /cafe/.
>>502
That's incredibly specific. Does such a magical place exist outside of the internet?
(260.59 KB 1091x1586 54818583_p0.jpg)

What are you drinking anon? I'll put the kettle on and brew some tea in a moment.

I'm drinking lime fizzy mineral water. I might swap to pedialyte at this rate since I'm trying to stave off illness until this weekend and I'm out of hard liquor to fight the virus.
>>525
>>526
kek. wtf am i looking at anon?
I always thought the old cornstarch method was a bit dubious but I suppose there's no harm in trying.
>>486
>Disco Elysium
The best part has been seeing the (((usual suspects))) in the gaming press gnaw their collective knuckle with concealed resentment at how much better the writers of the game are than them. They have no choice but to praise the game but there’s always this sour, catty undertone to it. Delicious.
>>523
Had some coffee and green tea earlier. I think I'm starting to like coffee over tea. It's been the opposite for the longest time as coffee makes me feel oddly greasy sometimes.
>>523
I’ve been staying away from all caffeine. I miss tea and coffee but I don’t miss depending on them. Drinking jasmine tea now and will switch to elderflower cordial later.
>>522
There are small, secret niches everywhere. You have to stumble on them. I just happened to stumble on a particularly good one.
>>528
Delicious potato bread.
It's springy like an ████████onahole█████████
Will you recite a story at the end of this fine stream?
>>532
Caffeine addiction is the strangest thing to me. I have a friend that had to swear off all forms of caffeine soda, energy drinks ,etc. He would go through legit withdrawals that would turn him into a giant dick. Maybe caffeine over sensitivity is a genetic thing though.
>>535
It's a Wednesday stream and I'm ending it before midnight, so probably not.
>>536
I don't think it's the withdrawals that turn people into giant dicks, it's the headaches combined with not having an outlet for lack of sleep (the main reason people consume large amounts of caffeine in the first place). This is why I advise swapping to oral forms of caffeine like mints/gum, and slowly bringing yourself down to sub-100mg quantities by reducing on average about 50mg less in a day every 3-5 days.
(5.08 MB 356x356 1560640839353.gif)

>>537
>probably not.
>>536
The part I hated was the up and down of my energy and fatigue. Now that I’m off the stuff its all so much smoother and consistent.

>>538
Tapered reduction is definitely the way to go. I did it by swapping to an equivalent dose delivered with gween tea and then gradually reducing it over a few weeks. I really, really missed the nervous habit of holding and sipping a warm mug when I was stressed so I replaced it with rooibos tea, which turns out to be absolutely delicious when your body isn’t dialling down the taste because it’s searching for caffeine.
>>539
That's a large gif. Why are some gifs hundreds of KB and others breaking into the MB? Is it just higher resolution and more frames?
>>523
Gween tea. The leaves are probably tapped but I'll try and stretch them out for another few presses.
>>537
I am very sad. How will we sleep if you don’t read us a story?

>>541
Number of colours and complexity of frames too. GIFs store information using indexes so if there are blocks of the same colour next to each other then that takes less information to store, and if there are fewer colours total then that takes less overall.
(896.20 KB 747x1200 1555226172445-2.jpg)

And this brings an end to Shibayan. We'll have a little more music for an hour or so before calling it an evening.

>>543
>How will we sleep if you don’t read us a story?
I dunno. I'm probably gonna pass out as soon as I end the stream.
Zuntaka Pokoten Zuntakapon!
Your transitions are so much better when you're staying in the one genre.
(850.23 KB 500x400 vpLZtbT.gif)

>>546
How does one transition smoothly? I'm not musically inclined so any playlists I create just end up being a smorgasbord of songs I like.
>>546
Yup.

>>548
Generally by remaining in the same genres and picking tracks with similar bpms. Easing/fading into the music also tends to help.
I haven't listened to MD in years.

>>548
Was not expecting it and it came like a punch, but at the very least the song was good. Guess it's back to 2hu?
>>548
You'll figure it out one day. Think about rhythm and don't partake in recreational chemicals.
>>551
I think you're getting anons mixed up. And I like my recreational chemicals.
>>551
>>552
Our DJs are hilarious when they occasionally get a little tipsy. Would be annoying if it was a regular occurrence though.
>>553
I maintain that mganons sober stream was his best stream.
This last past is getting even chiller. Like the weather. I like the chill.

Besides Nippon the Alps and the Rockies are on my go to list. Snow capped mountians are lovely. I can only imagine the beautiful silence one could enjoy by that small lake.
I have a confession to make. I stole my "gensoh valley" block I developed back in May and just got rid of the opening and ending portions that tie it together.

>>557
The Rockies are extremely windy, so it wouldn't be very quiet.

Achromatic Ravine is a reminder that all comfy times must come to an end and we must always be grateful for the moments of taking it easy.
>>557
That'd be absolutely lovely. Makes you wish travel could be more affordable, it has been a while since i went to Norway and i miss it.
>>560
I love it

I also wish to see the real night sky sometime. It's inspired men throughout history inventors, prophets, generals, kings; I've read so many accounts of the greatest being humbled before it's beauty. Light pollution is the worst.

Looks like we're coming up on the last few songs, anon. Thanks for stopping by this evening, and I hope you have a good rest of your week. Yellow Blue Bus as always, and sleep snug, smug.

>>565
I've driven out to the middle of nowhere to see one, anon. It's breathtaking and it really changes your perspective on things when you realize that it's what man had to look at for most of their existence.
>>566
Thanks for the comfy stream. Sometimes a chill Wednesday stream beats out a frenetic Saturday. I think this one did.
This was really cozy, I'll come around for the next time
>>566
Я люблю вас. Please tell a story.
>>566
I thoroughly enjoyed this radio session. Thank you for inviting us to join for the little short while.
>>569
Unfortunately no stories tonight, anon. I don't have any on hand and I can't think of any that are really appropriate for a Wednesday evening that I could get recorded in the next 15 minutes.
>>565
A long time ago I was on a ship crossing the Atlantic. There were no other vessels on the horizon. No land in sight. There I was just breathing in air that hadn't circulated over land in who knows how long and looking up. I grew up in cities and was wholly unprepared for how it felt. Make time to go do it, anon.
>>571
Tell me about your bellybutton.
>>573
It's hairy and I clean it twice weekly, once a week with a tissue after showering, and once a week with a Q-tip after showering and cleaning with a tissue.
>>574
That's rather specific. Mine is naturally clean and springy.
>>575
I envy your bellybutton, anon.
Ah right, and a big thank you to anon.cafe's BO for hosting us this evening! Make sure to stop by once in a while for the comfy threads, anon!

Fuck yes, bells.
>stream switches to bells
>listener count unchanged
(134.01 KB 1000x750 Cast_in_bronze.jpg)

The Carillon is a rare instrument. The instrument consists of at least 23 cast bronze, cup-shaped bells, which are played serially to produce a melody, or sounded together to play a chord. A traditional manual carillon is played by striking a keyboard – the stick-like keys of which are called batons – with the fists, and by pressing the keys of a pedal keyboard with the feet. The keys mechanically activate levers and wires that connect to metal clappers that strike the inside of the bells, allowing the performer on the bells, or carillonneur/carillonist, to vary the intensity of the note according to the force applied to the key. Only a handful of them exist in the world, a little under 400 almost entirely focused in Europe. You are listening to the only travelling carillon that I know of. It was donated by a wealthy benefactor who wanted to hear the bells spread across North America. Carillon players have to go through years of rigorous training in order to become professionals. You are listening to an instrument that less than 0.1% of the human population will ever be able to hear right now, anon. Isn't that something special in a sense?
>>581
It’s a lovely sound. Is it still called a carillion when it’s mounted inside a full-size clock tower like this?

https://youtu.be/6CQgzqYuo04
>>582
That's actually a traditional carillon when it's mounted inside a clock tower or bell tower, yeah.
Makes you wish it was christmass already.
>>581
For some reason I’m tearing up listening to this. I never missed the bells until now but now... god I miss the bells.

Kind friends and companions, come join me in rhyme
Come lift up your voices in chorus with mine
Come lift up your voices, all grief to refrain
For we may or might never all meet here again
So here's a health to the company and one to my lass
Let's drink and be merry all out of one glass
Let's drink and be merry, all grief to refrain
For we may or might never all meet here again
Here's a health to the wee lass that I love so well
For style and for beauty there's none can excel
There's a smile on her countenance as she sits upon my knee
There is no man in this wide world as happy as me
So here's a health to the company and one to my lass
Let's drink and be merry all out of one glass
Let's drink and be merry, all grief to refrain
For we may or might never all meet here again
Our ship lies at anchor, she is ready to dock
I wish her safe landing without any shock
And if ever I should meet you by land or by sea
I will always remember your kindness to me
So here's a health to the company and one to my lass
Let's drink and be merry all out of one glass
Let's drink and be merry, all grief to refrain
For we may or might never all meet here again

おやすみなさい。
Good night, Anons. If I prerecord a story reading, can I send it to the streamers to be saved up for when they don’t have time for story time themselves, like tonight? If so, what kind of thing would Anon like to hear?
>>589
You can send it to any of us, it's just a question of who will play it. KFist generally doesn't do storytime unless his hands are tied/he promised to do one while drunk. Not sure about Piiei's stance.
>>590
That’s fine, it’s just supposed to be an in-reserve thing to help Anon sleep. How and to where do I send something?
>>589
I want something that's unusual, something that only you can think of, experiences and memories wrapped up in your most vivid imaginings. I want to know more about your bellybutton.
>>577
Of course; stop by whenever you please. I’m glad to see Anon had an enjoyable stream. I’ll lock the thread now.
