So far (episode 7) I agree with
>>52099. My biggest gripe is that it's full of forced time jumps that serve no narrative purpose besides skipping all sorts of development so that we can go from A to Z and then right to D without ever explaining B and C. The setting and childhood friend disguising as former nemesis has potential, but it fails to build up excitement or have emotional impact since it's just jumping from plot point to plot point so far.
The most prominent example for this is the early reveal of the true enemy. What's even the point? A normal series would establish the close bond between Phil and Jacob first to make us understand how close they were and how important Phil is to Jacob, even as allegedly dead person. We would get used to think of Phil as lost brother who might be dead, in a coma or brainwashed or something.
The reveal that the evil Bob IS said brother would have happened near the end of the series or around the midpoint at best, to shock us. Instead, we have barely even learned about MC's past with Phil when they already reveal that he's disguised as Bob at the start of the series. WHY??
EDIT: a billion typos because it's 2 am and I am retarded
