How come shows like many of the Nicktoons and Cartoon Network originals always have to be presented as a half hour show? Their stories are only 11 minutes long and yet, they get paired up with another 11 minute story to make "an episode". Shouldn't it JUST be say one show airs at 5:00PM and then another show airs at 5:15PM? Why do they always gotta double up "segments" to make "an episode"? It doesn't make sense
>>48727 I also wonder this because there have been times where they only aired one SpongeBob segment by itself or way back in the day, there were times where one Rugrats segment aired by itself. So, why do they always feel the need to pair up "segments" to air them as "episodes"? To be fair, Cartoon Network stopped doing this, at least with premieres since Adventure Time and Regular Show, which tended to premiere just one eleven minute story per week, but I still don't get why networks feel the need to pair up two stories to make an episode rather than just say, air an episode of SpongeBob like Band Geeks or Mimic Madness at 5:00PM followed by an episode of Loud House at 5:15PM
>>48727 >I do not understand the reason for something therefore it doesn't make sense You could just leave it at asking the question and admitting you don't know instead of dropping the zoomer "this isn't how I would do it" punctuation. Programmers aren't going to handle blocks smaller than 22 minutes (minus ads) so shows like this package 2 11 minute episodes into one 22 minute block. And the kinds of kid shows doing 11 minute eps do this for the same reason Looney Tunes shorts were 7 minutes: pacing.

Noreen Young, Canadian puppeteer and voice actor and creator of Under the Umbrella Tree, passed away yesterday at the age of 85.

>>48467 It really does. Hopefully Sesame Street can keep it going for as long as possible.
I watched this show when I was a kid. 85? Boy that's ol- >has to remind self the 1980s were not 25 years ago but 40 years ago >everything you remember from this era is getting ancient >you're getting ancient So this is what a mid-life crisis feels like, huh? Also, a thread like this might have gotten deleted on 4/co/ because they'd consider puppets /tv/, despite the fact most puppets shows were for kids and aired when cartoons aired. I remember when Lois of Sharon, Lois & Bram died, there was a thread started for her that was deleted by the mods. I'm happy that here, this gets pinned, and we have some respect for the person who died, even if much of /co/ won't know this show, because it's Canadian and to my knowledge only aired in Canada.
>>48614 I still think the 90s were 10-15 years ago even though I was born then. It's suffering. >Also, a thread like this might have gotten deleted on 4/co/ because they'd consider puppets /tv/ Maybe, but don't they consider puppets /co/? There's been a few Umbrella Tree threads on /co/. >only aired in Canada. It aired on Disney Channel here in the states, I think they even had a few exclusive episodes made for Americans. Such a delightful little gem.

George Lowe RIP Anonymous No. 44134 [Reply]
>Veteran voice actor and comedian George Lowe, best known as the voice of Space Ghost on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and many others, died Sunday, March 2, his representive confirmed to Deadline. He was 67. >Lowe got his first radio job with local station WWJB at the age of 15. Lowe did occasional voice-over work for TBWS and Cartoon Network throughout the late 1980s to mid 1990s before landing his signature lead role of Space Ghost in 1994 with the premiere of Space Ghost Coast to Coast on Cartoon Network. >Lowe also voiced Space Ghost in the Space Ghost Coast to Coast spinoff Cartoon Planet, as well as Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, The Brak Show, where he also was a series regular as the voice of Dad, and Robot Chicken, among others. https://archive.md/8Ylr1

>>44134 Did he suffer a similar fate like Martin's: curable disease but couldn't afford medicare? Does that leave Brak as the only remaining voice actor alive from Coast to Coast?
Rest in power

RoboForce: The Animated Series Anonymous No. 48604 [Reply]
A new cartoon made for Tubi. The first six episodes are out now and for some reason The Rock and his production company are involved? Also the Biker Mice from Mars & C.O.W.boys of Moo-Mesa appear in the background sometimes. https://X.com/TheRock/status/1911104426086969834#m https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y43WGiDjp0
>>48604 I saw the first two episodes. I want to like it but it's very mid. Nacelle's decision to push Roboforce front and center over using the popularity of Biker Mice is a little confusing given how much more popular they are compared to the rest of their properties.

>>48393 They did release a teaser-ish short after season 3 ended, but that was on April 1st, so who knows. You'd think if they were going to continue a quasi-Christian series about angelic Leporidae, it'd be on Easter Sunday...
>>48682 So are they making another season, or is this just a belated Easter upload?

Which Cartoon Network character is this supposed to be the face of? This is from an old Har Har Tharsdays promo that had the faces of Chowder and Mung from Chowder and Flapjack and K'nuckles from Flapjack, but then there's this. I wanna say it's Courage, but Courage ended in 2002 and was never in Har Har Tharsdays

>>48643 The others from the promo match cartoons airing at the time. >Courage The eyes match. I'd bet a finger on it being Courage.
>>48675 That's interesting that it's probably Courage. I find it odd that Courage was picked for the bumpers then, since the show ended in 2002. Foster's Home wasn't in the bumpers and that show still had a few more episodes left to air at that time
(1.21 MB 944x885)faces2.png
>>48690 Courage feels like a throwback more than anything. 2007-2009 was when they would have started nostalgia baiting, since the logo change marked it as a new era. Pretty confident now it is Courage. Promo images for reference. The first image has the curve of his snout and bottom pic matches the teeth.

>>48000 >Fluffy Pony abuse It's worth mentioning that Jewtube is more than okay or too retarded to moderate such videos depicting fluffy ponies getting mutilated and vore videos post-Kphoria. However cyberbullying, questioning taboo topics, or at least calling out a protected class is a no-no.
