Other than 2000AD and Asterix, what are some of the other good comics put out from across the ponds. Burger here with a real interest in reading some.

It's that time again for a new thread! Let's see what we got. Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is only now catching people's attention, at the end of the cartoon's life, because of a withdrawn episode dealing with... transphobia. DEFINITELY NOT PULLED FROM AIRING BECAUSE OF TRUMP WINNING. Remember when capeshit cartoons were about superheroes instead of gender identity politics? Is Devil Dinosaur even IN this episode?! This is Jack Kirby's legacy, folks. Recently, Hazbin Hotel had a bunch of leaks with an entire episode, reference sheets, & songs all now out in the open. Said leaker shot himself in the foot trying to make people pay for more though. Which only pissed off the people interested & put a target on his back. Then in a positive note for once, The Penguin finished. It's actually a pretty good show BUT not without the typical flaws of these capeshit shows afraid of actually being comic booky. Oswald is nicknamed 'Oz' & he never dons a top hat, has a weaponized umbrella, nor wears a monocle. Other disappointments are Sofia Falcone & Magpie's looks just being completely different indistinct ladies. Sofia is easily the weakest part of the show. Especially when they try to write girl power moments for her. BUT if you enjoyed The Batman movie & or The Sopranos then you should enjoy The Penguin. But on that positive note, we have two uncertain features of James Gunns DCU. Creature Commandos & James Gunn's Superman. One a typical hyper violent totally NOT Suicide Squad derivative featuring vaguely recognizable comic characters.... & Weasel. Possibly taking a generic jab at MAGA voters with these red hat gun toting men getting torn apart. Totally won't instantly age like organic fruit the minute it drops if it's really a political commentary. Then of course Superman... well who knows what to really expect from Superman. It seems like it's going to be more heartfelt BUT also very bloated in a rush to build a universe. With bizarre decisions regarding characters working for Max Lord as corporate heroes & possibly a Bizarro named Ultraman dressed like Doomsday. We'll see more once that supposed finished trailer drops.

Halfchan's /co/ was full of zoomers so this thread was often impossible. Nostalgic memories of CCF? Any CC show you wish you had gone on longer? Remember the website's flash cartoons? Like that island adventure game that had character from pilots as player characters. Guilty pleasures? Let's all discuss it here. I don't know, though this panel on the last issue of the Hulk's new run spoke to me intrinsically about the nonsensical state of nature. Where Charlie states "We're the good guys, ok?" The truth is savage: no amount of goodness will save the weak from the will of the strong. It's like she wears a philosophical confession based on the unfair necessities of the human condition; A confession that to be human, soft and unsure, is a vulnerability the world will not forgive and the only way to survive is to snarl through the tears and hope no one sees the sheep still trembling underneath and that the world only makes sense when you force it to.

So, I'm watching through this early-2000's series called Alienators: Evolution Continues, and the entire show just feels...off for some reason. I cannot put my finger on why. The show comes across as generic in every way, but even saying that doesn't seem to classify the show properly. Why does he hate tradies and blue-collar workers so much? Like pretty much every tradesperson who's been on South Park has been a violent, stupid, alcoholic redneck who deserve to be jobless and have their jobs taken away. While we've got everyone here, this might be a good place to finally try making a /hsg/ thread on a new board, since hopefully this /co/ won't nuke them on site. Make sure to read the board rules. Discuss how good homestuck was before act 6, how bad it got after act 6, the absolute disaster that is post-canon, how Hussie got groomed by ipgd, how Toby Fox succeeded where Hussie failed (at life), ships, fanfics, etc. Since the /hsg/ Original Posts were all around a single sentence long, I had to make one from scratch hopefully its enough of an effortpost.
