Discuss the arguably best superhero and unquestionably the best superhero' stooge sidekick, Woozy!

>>27997 Well that shit is probably getting cancelled now. Literally thank Jesus.
>>28119 If you like Kamandi, check out all the Great Disaster stories DC put out over the years. I got a collection of them, Showcase Presents: The Great Disaster: Featuring The Atomic Knights. It's cool how it puts all the stories in chronological order, but originally they were just published all over the place. But basically it's a bunch of stories after doomsday in the Kamandi timeline, but not about Kamandi. So there are a bunch of shorts called "The Day After Doomsday!" (some of which were not originally titled, many of which are just one or two pages), and they're about the survivors picking up in the immediate aftermath of World War 3. Then there is The Atomic Knights, survivors who find suits of armor which happen to have been irradiated in just the right way to make them invulnerable to the radiation which now plagues large parts of the world, as well as some ray guns that have become popular, so they use them to become heroes. Then there's Hercules Unbound, where Hercules, who has been chained up for a long time, is freed by World War 3, and goes out to do hero stuff in the post-apocalyptic world, dealing with other gods and stuff (this series actually deals with the origin of the humanoid animals from Kamandi). Also there are a few other scattered stories, like some about animal people from Kamandi stories (but Kamandi himself isn't in them), and a couple with Superman crossing over and dealing with stuff from this timeline, including meeting Hercules and The Atomic Knights. It was all really cool and I had no idea about it until I happened upon this book, despite knowing Kamandi. It probably wasn't planned to all fit together first, but once they did that Hercules Unbound series, which was after Kamandi, they realized they should put them together, and they started drawing connections. Unfortunately I have not read that many Plastic Man solo stories, so I can't contribute that much to the actual thread topic. But I've always maintained that he's a sorely underrated member of the Justice League, and deserves to be up there with at least the second-stringers like Hawkman and Green Arrow. Also, Plastic Man of Earth-X deserved better than just being written out due to Earth-One already having a Plastic Man. Later stories on Earth 10 have done a little more with him, but it's not really the same, since Earth-X was clearly intended to be the original Plastic Man and it would have been cool to see his continuing adventures. Yes, they did specify that Earth-X is technically not the Quality Comics universe, but it was clearly intended as that when it was created, and it's cooler just to act like it is.
>>28189 >Showcase Presents: The Great Disaster: Featuring The Atomic Knights Thanks anon, I'll check them though seeing how everything post Kirby writing Kamandi have been godawful, I'm more than a bit afraid. Also, I prefer and like how the Great Disaster in Kamandi was surrounded by mystery and wasn't fully revealed. Such a shame that Kirby didn't went back and gave it an ending like New Gods, though it wasn't his passion project like the former but rather corporate shit enforced upon him like The Demon in which he turned both into gold...I do wonder if Kirby planned at some point to tell the full story behind the Great Disaster or leave it as a mystery. >Unfortunately I have not read that many Plastic Man solo stories You should, they're fun and varied! The Jack Cole run is amazing and nearly sheer perfection. >underrated member of the Justice League Plastic Man is in a weird situation in which he is the most obscure among popular superheros or the most popular among obscure superheros. The fact he never got a good cartoon is beyond criminal, he totally deserved high quality Fleischer shorts, whether it's in his original art style or even fully classic rubber hose in which him and Woozy would still look great. >Earth-X I'm no expert by any means and I don't like the multiverse autism of the hackish big two (Golden Age anthologies were superior). Looking it up, it's apparently a universe in which the Nazis won...I don't see what fun adventures Plastic Man can have in this dreadful universe.

why are femoids such stupid cunts? >h-hes only seven years old!! you know what happens to the male children of single mothers? they grow up to be weak sissy beta bitch soibois who either transition or become faggots, and ive seen children playing piano and other instruments, children arent stupid yet people specifically americans patronize the ever living shit out of them, your kids arent dumb animals, if they act like retards its precisely because you infantilize them and make them act out as such, just like how japs make their kids refer to themselves in third person because its "child like behavior" this shit doesnt come naturally, you're basically grooming them into acting in a way that fits the modern normalfag's IDEA of what children are supposed to behave like, but the reality of it is far fucking different from their delusions anwyays good comic, i like this better than the soap opera shitshow

>>28032 Well, the comic needed some fake drama. If the dead start walking again no parent would be as stupid as not giving a gun to their children. That's why when the Summer of Love came every democrat bought a gun and realiced how hard it actually was.
>>28052 >Most women who have been forced to mature as a result of having a responsibility would not only let Carl learn (with CAREFUL supervision), she'd also take some lessons with him. If women matured as a result of having a responsibility, we wouldn't have so many single mothers. Reminder that women initiate the vast majority of divorces. It's completely commonplace for women to ruin the lives of their whole family, including their own children, on whims like this. It was completely accurate writing. But I didn't reply until now because OP was being a sperg and because the answer would have little to do directly with comics or cartoons. But I'll reply to correct your ridiculous assertion. >Not every woman is that big a piece of shit This is practically meaningless. I'm probably older than you, so most of the women I know (except my sister-in-law) are not fuckheads. My daughter's friends are more like the ones you mean, but my gal found a chad who treats her right and made the appropriate moves to lock that shit down. Now she's domestic while her fuck-up friends are still debating where they all fit in the LGB rainbow because TikTok told them to. Eric July Breaks The Bank With The Launch Of Isom, His First Rippaverse Comics Book Anonymous 07/15/2022 (Fri) 08:08:29 No. 27553 [Reply] [Last]
https://archive.ph/kXdaz >Faced with companies that won’t listen to the fans or critics, Eric July set out to create his own superhero universe as a counterpunch to liberal corporate entertainment. >The Rippaverse website was unveiled a full day before the pre-orders for Isom went live, with videos of July’s mission statement for the book as well as a “Welcome to the Rippaverse” video explaining the bigger picture of where Isom #1 will fit into his overall vision. >The line art is done by DC veteran, Cliff Richards, and Gabe Eltaeb, beloved for criticizing DC Comics over their removal of the slogan “Truth, Justice and the American Way” from Superman, does the coloring work. >Fans reacted with an outpouring of support for the Rippaverse project with more than 8,000 backers and $800,000 raised on the first day of the campaign. >With such an outpouring of support, Isom #1 is fast on its way to becoming the most successful crowdfunded comic of all time, an incredible feat for someone not using Kickstarter or IndieGoGo as a platform, but directing viewers to his own website. As of publishing, Isom #1 has earned $952,201.37 from 9,688 backers. >July’s work is shaking up the comic book industry in a way readers haven’t seen since the inception of #ComicsGate, and his work is an inspiration to liberty-minded comic creators everywhere.

>>27798 >Dear Fedora tipper this is you being a functional illiterate cunt talking right now for writing that very contradictory sentence. So you're just admitting you know not even the basics of what you're talking about? Some of the most popular and influential mythologies have various popular and influential stories that can't agree on basic things like characters' parentage or who is the god of what. But we can still look at the individual stories themselves and what they're saying and appreciating them on their own, and the connections that do exist with others, even if there are also contradictions. >Provides no sauce for his claims The source is your post, the one I was replying to, where you did those things. >Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley is basically fan fiction written So you can separate that sequel because it's by another author, but not other sequels that are by other authors. And then you also went and used many examples of other stories written by many different authors as points in your favor. You're contradicting yourself very heavily, and it didn't have to happen. You just used a bunch of ridiculous examples that don't match the points you made at all. >but I will mention that I do find it interesting that the Bible was the first thing you latched to in your complaints about cannon and not say the Cannon scriptures of Hinuism or Buddhism and their contradictions. I did mention Greek and Norse, though, because they're much more interesting mythologies that I like a lot more than Buddhist and Hinduism. I don't care about those ones. I am complimenting the ones I'm talking about quite a lot, and saying that it they do have value regardless of inconsistencies. Also, you're the one who brought up Greek mythology and the bible. You're mad that I'm responding directly to your points now? Gilgamesh is a single story we have from one source, so it's quite a different beast, as are the Ring Cycle and Gone with the Wind, for similar reasons. The American Western is a fucking baffling example since it's a genre and not even a story, unless you're looking at actual history, and of course real history, especially modern, quite well documented history, is very different from mythologies and the examples of fiction you listed. >But then I remembered you wrote this (most likely because you loved the old cape comics you grew up with): Actually, the capeshit comics I love are way too autistic for kids to understand. I never got into capeshit until I was already finished high school.

One of the stupidest things about Bob's Burgers I ever saw was an interview with H. Jon Benjamin where the interviewer asked him if he thought Gene was gay. Jon just smiled and said "I hope so." Fucking what? Why would anyone (other than the usual sociopaths of twitter/tumblr/etc) HOPE for that? 1. Gene's had at least one girlfriend 2. Gene will be lucky if he isn't eventually put in a home for retarded adults by Louise, never mind who he wants to fuck 3. Reminder that it's possible, depending on how much Disney spent on marketing (IIRC the half budget floating around is a safe low ball, not confirmed. Equal or more is common), Lightyear approaches or exceeds the budget of Waterworld. The difference being Waterworld merely barely made money on a stupidly high budget, while Lightyear has actually lost money.

This topic reminds me of a a DC Adventures (rebranded Mutants and Masterminds) character I did once. She was partial owner of an energy weapons company that specialized in mail order of small, portable, relatively cheap blasters most jurisdictions are totally blank on because they don't meet the definition of "firearm". Was convinced Gotham's Batman was a either a super villain or mercenary criminals sic on their rivals. After all, why else would he leave Bruce Wayne alone when that man's lobbying dollars are responsible for keeping the average Gothamite defenseless?
Honest answer? None. You are not heroic if you want a big government to create a "utopia" which perpetually "protects" everyone.
