Shadow himself is actually designed closely to Sonic, his spines being Super Sonic's spines and all. It makes more sense for people to feel he's out of place because of how he's written and the place he's supposed to take in stories rather than how he looks.
>she resembles an anime character that belongs in a shonen series like someone like a magical girl or Sakura from Naruto
I don't think she's so close to an anime character to the point where it's fair to say she's "weeb trash". I think she fits this series just fine, specially after her redesign, which got rid of her more formal attire and made her look a lot more like the rest of the characters. I can't say the same with Fleetway Amy. If I put her between two other characters, she sticks out like a sore thumb to me, even if she's got a more western design.
>Do you really think her design is timeless or good like Tails, Knuckles, or Sonic's?
Isn't that subjective? In any case, I think her modern design is at least competitive. Why do you think Knuckles design is that good, though? It looks really bare.
>So you're just going to ignore the paragraphs I wrote, huh. I can tell you barely consume the Classic media at all.
You seem to definitely consume more classic stuff than me and care for the depth behind it, but it's peeving when people talk about references in a way that seems so abstract and hard to pin down on concrete things. I didn't comment on the rest of the things you wrote because it wouldn't have gone anywhere, as I would have either asked for references (like with the music, I don't think I've ever seen those genres mentioned in relation to the series before) or challenged stuff that wouldn't have gotten anywhere in the end because of them being minor things (Knuckles' crescent and shoewear). I'm honestly pretty tired of this conversation at this point.

It wasn't about stating that I was a fan of something to make a point stronger, but rather that I interpreted his comment as implying that being a Modern fan was demeaning like
>>6373 mentioned.
