Werewolves Toshiaki 07/26/2020 (Sun) 03:36:42 No. 894
Skinwalkers Texas Skin Rangers
More like Texas Foreskin Rangers
>>894 A skinwalker isn't the same as a werewolf.
>>925 They're cool too though, as are spooky cryptids in general. My furse owner is a member of The Fair Folk with the specific idea that they're the skinwalker kind of Fair Folk.
>>925 >he doesn't wear toast in his pants and sleep like a coyote nose-to-anus The absolute state of /fur/.

>>961 Yeah but The Howling 2 exists & ruined it.
>>965 The thing about the Howling franchise is that you have to pretend that some of the movies don't exist. For example Howling VII. Never watch Howling VII.
>>967 Probably shouldn't have had any sequels in the first place.
(9.43 MB 640x360 Eddie Quist The Howling.mp4)

>>968 Probably not but some of them are decent enough werewolf movies on their own right. 3 is a nice parody of a werewolf movie. 4 is a lower budget remake of the first movie; Not great but serviceable. 5 is And Then There Were None with a werewolf. 6 I haven't seen but it's very well regarded. Of course none of them but the first two even try to be in the same continuity anyway so it's best to ignore 2, 7, and the reboot and just treat it as an anthology franchise. Actually I'm not entirely certain if you can even consider Howling 7 to be a werewolf movie at all.

>>984 >>978 Yeah this just gets dumber & dumber. I can't really think of serious werewolf movies that are legitimately good but I do like the Van Helsing movie. Some people think it's too campy but I find it fun. It's essentially a big monster mash of every Universal monster. It's what the planned 'Dark Universe' should've been more like. Instead of Tom Cruise ripping off American Werewolf in London. That film is actually good in a horror aspect I guess. The effects are rad too. But I hate the Landis family.

This could go in the vidya thread but I wanted to inflate this one a bit. >>991 To be fair that first one is an intentional broad parody movie within a movie so it's meant to be stupid. >But I hate the Landis family. And for good reason.

Awoowo what's this?
Here's a homoerotic werewolf novel I saved from Sofurry before the author deleted it to get it published.

Thanks /hisrol/.
I'm not sure if this counts as a werewolf or knot but I'm going to say yes because this thread needs more content.

>>7411 Rare Po~ju pic. Nice.
>>1090 >>1035 Why are werewolves not more popular in erotica fiction and sexual horror genre?
>>7488 If I had to take a stab at it I would say that it has to do something with the 3 depictions of werewolves sort of falling into the gaps, so to speak. >type 1: folklore werewolves Basically just a wolf. Has human intelligence and cunning, may or may not have human mentality. This one just trips the bestiality switch for too many people. >type 2: classic Hollywood werewolves Wolfmen. With varying degree of hairiness. I'm almost sure there were some erotic wolfman pulps back in the day but the problem with this type is that by the mid to late 70s this kind of werewolf had fallen into complete parody, even more so than how the other classic movie monsters had, and unlike them it never really recovered. >type 3: "modern" Hollywood werewolves Hybrids. Think Howling, AAWiL, Dog Soldiers, etc. Once again these are animistic enough that they'll fall into being classed as bestiality. Additionally they're depicted as much more horrific than either of the two previous types so that also ends up being a limiting factor.
