3D Animation/Modelling Thread Anonymous 04/11/2021 (Sun) 16:47:22 No. 2333
About 2 months ago I started dicking around in blender doing 3D viewmodel animation using models I found on sketchfab (mainly TastyTony's Low-Poly shit). More recently I've been practicing character animation using a crude stickfigure-esque model I've rigged up to do very basic motions like pullups, running, and pushups. I'm gonna get into modelling eventually but right now I'm more interested in animation. Got a couple of examples of what I've been working on experimenting with camera motions and some other shit. I'll share some of the resources I've been using, but I'd appreciate it if some anons would care to share anything they've been doing. I haven't tried using the graph editor at all, I've been just posing each limb and keyframeing it. I don't have resources that I've been using for character animation as I've just recently started practicing it, but regardless here's some of the stuff I've been working on. I've done a lot more, but either accidentally saved over it or didn't export it. >Resources Hyper's Reload animation tutorial: old but still has some good info [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzLnkpBQUfA] Thriftydonut's tutorial: very helpful for showing how to rig properly [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV6XP-EDzw8] Polybagel's tutorial: showing how to use the graph editor [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbuD3-UZV8c] TastyTony's Low-Poly gun models: Despite being Low-Poly they're well detailed and simple enough to use for animations [https://sketchfab.com/TastyTony/models] First Person rigs [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qdpF8W4aI1CPiv6usZVBpkXShqER4syVpLfv6R1HCck/edit]
Looking pretty good, man. I was thinking of using 3D to supplement my work for inorganic subjects like buildings and vehicles so I appreciate the resources.
