>>69 And that's the chapter. Let me know if it was out of order. Thoughts?
>>66 So are basically all "witches" female? Remember the last shonen jump manga where the cast with "abilities" (used loosely) was all female and the MC was a girly male amongst them? cipher It's almost like Jump editors never learn.
>>67 The middle panel on the second page here is why I think Nishi won't do well in Jump. She has way too much of this "limp humor" thing that kills all the tension (I'm even fine with Nige Jouzu humor which some anons complain about) and it's just not going to work in Jump.
Also I don't get the lore behind why witches are all women if all it takes is passing a challenge.
>>68 >Last page of this batch More Nishi humor............ ...
>>70 Ok this first page was funny tho kek
>>60 holy shit is dumping THAT EASY here?

>>144 Thanks, I couldn't find it on mobile.
>>70 Love Osazaki's art, fantasy setting really lets her creativity shine. The set up is ok-ish. The protagonist being a pro-hunter who gets witch powers is interesting. I guess he's going to an all girls school now and most of the humour will come from him being a guy who's completely socially autsitc. Can't tell yet what the plot and overall vibe of the series will be as chapter 1 has been semi-serious with some deadpan humor here and there. Hope it will be more like Soul Eater rather than Iruma-kun.
>>158 I love her art too. It's the writing I'm concerned about because I never got why so many anon's loved Nishi's main work, Iruma-kun, and she already has 2 other Iruma spinoffs she's managing too (so, 4 series (I assume not all weekly??) she at least has to think about to some minimal degree). >I guess he's going to an all girls school now and most of the humour will come from him being a guy who's completely socially autsitc I didn't think that far, but that sounds enjoyable at least. But the MC isn't very easy to relate to so I see most of it falling flat... >Hope it will be more like Soul Eater rather than Iruma-kun. Haven't read much of Soul Eater but what do you mean? More serious and stylish? Iruma is too kodomo?
>>164 >I never got why so many anon's loved Nishi's main work, Iruma-kun Lots of manga style themselves as Bleach/Naruto/DB successors, Iruma is a Rosario/Hayate successor. The end-of-arc payoffs are usually pretty good but that also basically means only one interesting chapter every ten. It may be overrated but it's certainly not a *bad* manga.
>>164 >Haven't read much of Soul Eater but what do you mean? More serious and stylish? Pretty much. I feel like Ichi will be more serious than Iruma overall since the protagonist's backstory sets more dartker tone than Iruma had already
>>165 Funnily enough I did like Rosario. I didn't get Rosario vibes at all though? From what I know about Hayate I guess I could see that. >that also basically means only one interesting chapter every ten Really? I think I read up to volume 10 and I would agree with you, but to hear someone else say so is a bit surprising. I doubt a "one good chapter out of 10" manga can survive in weekly shonen jump (at least Rosario had ecchi). > It may be overrated but it's certainly not a *bad* manga. Sure, I can agree with that. >>169 That seems like a good prediction. Although I really feel like the "absentmindedness"? If that's a good word - that I found throughout Iruma will come back in Ichi a lot. It's shown up in the humor already.
>>181 >I didn't get Rosario vibes at all though? Human goes to demon school, befriends multiple really strong demons, collects a harem (bisexual) >I doubt a "one good chapter out of 10" manga can survive in weekly shonen jump There was a recent arc where make an art exhibition, took two volumes to see how it ends. I realize that sounds like a dumb thing to complain about when One Piece arcs can take two years to resolve, but it really does feel like Nishi does a lot of padding.
>>189 Ah, I see. I was thinking more in terms of the tone and execution since that matters more in the long run for survivability. > There was a recent arc where make an art exhibition, took two volumes to see how it ends. I realize that sounds like a dumb thing to complain about when One Piece arcs can take two years to resolve, but it really does feel like Nishi does a lot of padding. Gotcha...
Why does someone keep spamming the dark girl collage on 4/a/ lol. Is it the guy who's proud his race is finally getting representation so he's doing that as part of his regular WSJ spamming?
