I beginning to regret ever choosing the godot to make my game. I feel like I've gotten to a point where all of the issues with the godot engine is hitting me like a goddamn semi truck. The engine feels unprofessional and messy. You have to basically jury-rig everything, some of the ways you implement basic features feel like you're doing something that was never actually intended. The godot engine tricks you into using it because of the hype around it and it being easy and simple, but you don't realize all of the downsides to the easiness until your midway through. Once you realize how shit the engine is, it holds you hostage because you don't wanna have to completely redo your whole game in another engine and start back at square one when your midway through with it. After I'm finished with the game I'm currently working on, I'm gonna move to unreal.

Don't worry bro it'll get better once Slay the Spire 2 comes out bro just have a little faith bro, after that game comes out Godot will finally have the support it needs ||In all seriousness, you could try the Redot fork, that's supposed to have actual needed features||
