>>170101 >Implying the game wasn't rigged from the start As for an actual answer to this question, results will drop in 5 hours and 20 minutes. Due to the left's cult-like behavior to "raise a barrage against the far-right" and their surprisingly high result at first turn, I'm afraid we're in for another 5 years, followed by perhaps more anger and distrust against the government. It's not quite over despite this. After the presidential elections, there will be the general elections (élections législatives) in june, to assign the 577 deputies of the general assembly. If an opposing party gets the majority of the seats, the President will have to either elect a Prime minister of said party (a process called the Cohabitation) or dissolve the assembly.

I've noticed that NoE a name RetardERA doesn't like hearing.
>>170101 Neither of the choices are good, the real chance to somewhat unfuck the situation comes with the next elections >>170103 >If an opposing party gets the majority of the seats, the President will have to either elect a Prime minister of said party (a process called the Cohabitation) or dissolve the assembly. I have some hope this might end up fucking Macron over, he's arrogant enough to try and dissolve the assembly, don't think it would work well for him though, though then he can still bypass that somewhat but that might bite him in the ass (keyword being might since he already bypassed the assembly and senate and that didn't stop him from pulling hte "but you're ignoring democracy" angle on Le Pen.
>>170108 >Neither of the choices are good, Honestly Le Pen at least isn't a raging leftist at least.
>>170108 >don't think it would work well for him though It would be seen as an immediate attempt on getting as much power as possible, even in defeat. Doing that would just be preposterous for his popularity, and would most likely result in Yellow Vests 2: the Yellowing. He'll choose the cohabitation. I wouldn't count on it that much, there's only two months between the presidential and general elections, it's a pretty short time frame to make people change their mind.
What happened to the sales Data users of ResetERA?
>>170101 Are you actually retarded? Last election any party from center right to hard left told people to vote Macron, and they did the same in this one. Only solace frog anons can find is that most people have lost all faith in the "democratic" process and are abstaining from the charade. Even if Le Pen won, they'll just do the same thing they did for Bidup.
>>170108 Just vote harder next time.
>>170103 Nice abs.
>>170104 Is there a wordfilter or is there a reason why that place is called Foxdicks? Pretty sure they have a section on furries.
>>170109 >Macron >Raging leftist Nah, Melenchon is a raging leftist, this guy is a centrist. Le Pen is just around to tell the lower class what they wanna hear, she's got no interest in being put in a position where she actually has to follow through with it, not that I think she's actually competent enough to do anything, Macron is competent and he could definitely make things happen, he just doesn't have interests that align with most people in France so the things that will happen are just gonna fuck us over, and he's got a few snakes around him looking for a chance to fuck him over like he fucked over both the main parties. >>170110 Yeah, but he might just be arrogant enough to try it anyways, he could also wait for a year or two then dissolve the assembly if he wants, which would both be a blessing and a curse >>170112 >and they did the same in this one Nope, 3rd place guy (Mélenchon, actual leftie) said explicitly that he wanted people not to vote Le Pen but that he didn't mean people should vote Macron instead, this guy had 23% of the vote it's not insignificant, and he's got some pull in the rest of the left wing as well so you're looking at 30-35% of people having a reason to listen to this guy. There's no real call to counter Le Pen, not anywhere near the same way as it was in 2002 and 2017 anyways, among the lefties I know only the worst parisian types are even gonna bother voting at all, which is in stark contrast to 2017 where most voted Macron, even the ones that knew he would entirely fuck them over. The only reason I think Macron might win is he fucking nuked Le Pen from orbit in the debates.
>>170116 Wow, France it's a fucking shithole worst than some latín american countries
(97.57 KB 758x334 huh wait what.jpg)

>>170116 >Macron is competent >>170116 >The only reason I think Macron might win is he fucking nuked Le Pen from orbit in the debates. Wut?
>>170118 Well he is competent to a degree, he managed to make both the main parties implode while propping his own as the leading one, fuck over everyone for 5 years and still have enough people support him to be in the lead for the presidential election, gotta admit he's really good at being a politician. >Wut? Le Pen was basically not there in the debates, barely even attempted to defend herself and never really attacked Macron at any point. It's as if she wasn't even trying to win, or it's some 4D chess move I don't understand.
>>170119 >Well he is competent to a degree Nigger looking at the state of France says otherwise.
>>170120 >Nigger looking at the state of France says otherwise. Him being competent has nothing to do with his goal aligning with those of the country or it's peoples.
>>170119 >barely even attempted to defend herself and never really attacked Macron at any point. That wouldn't mean Macron nuked her, it simply means she did nothing. It's like calling someone a master 'baiter for making more salient political points than some fag that has been comatosed for the past ten years and has just woken up.
>>170116 >he fucking nuked Le Pen from orbit in the debates. He did not, at least compared to 2017, where Le Pen fucking nuked herself.
>>170121 >Him being competent Again look at the state of France and tell me how in anyway he is competent period?
>>170122 True, but here we're talking about someone who's built a reputation for being aggressive practically waiting out the debate. >>170123 Maybe, I kinda hope people noticed he acted like such an arrogant shithead through all of it that they'll be motivated to not give him the assembly like last time. >>170124 And again him being competent has nothing to do with that, he fucked over everyone, reinforced his position pretty heavily and manage to somehow get away mostly scott-free from it all.
>>170125 >I kinda hope people noticed he acted like such an arrogant shithead through all of it The word "arrogant" trended in French Twitter, and yes, it was about Macron acting arrogant through the debate. Then again, it's Twitter.
>>170103 Care to explain this in laymen's terms for those us who are unaware how the French government and elections actually work?
>>170125 So pretty much your gonna keep dodging instead of just answering in an honest manner?
>>170121 Anybody who mans up, admits that perhaps you shouldn't mock a nation you primarily rely on for all your defense, and states that France needs to become more self-reliant and build up its armed forces has a small degree of respect in my books. Honestly France is screwed either way. Le Pen is "conservative" by Europoor definition, and considering burger conservatives eagerly tongue homosexuals' anuses, I can't imagine the amount of AIDS she would bring in.

>>170138 That part I understand. I mean, why is there 10 different elections for politicians? What is the "national assembly" and why can Macron just dissolve it? What does electing a prime minster actually do?
>>170145 In English it misinterprets the real meaning of what She is saying and in the JP version it doesn't that's a mistranslation if I ever saw one anon this is an error how you don't see this is beyond me.

>>170146 What are your plans?

>>170151 Yes I'm a sperg for talking about TD stuff and bringing up how a localisation misinterpreted the JP script's meaning. But I'm sure blatant off topic blog posting about anime or porn dumps is a better use of thread instead of on topic stuff or potential TD education.
>>170137 >>170145 >>170148 They both read about the same to me.
>>170153 Exactly.
>>170153 >>170154 >They both read about the same to me. <Despite how the English ver misinterpreted her meaning a overall goal
>>170147 >What is the "national assembly" and why can Macron just dissolve it? The national assembly is the "lower house" of the French parliament, the "upper house" being the senate. Their main purpose is to debate, propose and vote laws. Macron cannot "just" dissolve it, you do have some throttles (can't do it the year a dissolution was already done before, some crisis situations...) and even if he can, right after the general elections, it would sound absolutely egregious with the current situation. To summarize it very roughly, the prime minister's main role, or rather, the government he built by appointing the ministers he chooses, is to oversee domestic affairs, while the president handles foreign affairs.
>>170137 I'm confused, nothing in the left column implies Ranni wants everyone to be sociopathic or drones. Why do you believe it does?

>>170157 In the left it makes it sound like she wants the lands between to be this cold unfeeling place where in the JP she wants the choice of free will along with being away from the golden order and will fuck off with the Tarnished to let the world be free of meddling of the gods. The English translation causes confusion and misinterprets Her meaning of that ending and the video I posted brings up further points.

FRENCH ELECTION RESULTS: ET MERDE, C'EST REPARTI POUR UN TOUR Emmanuel Macron is REELECTED with an estimated 58% of the general vote against 42% for Marine Le Pen. >>170165 >emailing sponsors, and nobody has done the latter in years Did people already forget the history of GG? Emailing sponsors was effective for maybe a month before the Journos really knew what was going on. Once they knew they went into shill overdrive and every one of the sponsors we'd managed to convince to drop journo sites went pathetically crawling back, making press releases about how they were "tricked" by "nazi trolls" and after that any attempts at contacting any sponsor went straight to the email trash bin. This was the moment a lot of the normalfags realized just how rigged the game was. The only way to get the attention of companies at this stage is to organize a large scale boycott. And even if we did have the numbers for that, which we absolutely don't, in the age of wokeism where (((the message))) trumps profits, there's no guarantee even that would work. All we can do is try to bring attention to these things, and frankly there are a lot of people outside GG already doing that. So what's the point of us being here? That's easy: for some reason us continuing to exist still enrages the opposition. If that wasn't the case people like niggerpill, luciano and the ceepee spammers wouldn't exist. The day people stop trying to shill against us, still make hitpieces against us (eight years running) and we are truly left alone is the day GG dies. For now, even if all we do is shitpost, making the opposition mad is reason enough to exist, because people who are mad make mistakes.

The President can technically whoose whoever he wants, but in practice, because the National Assembly does have the power to force the resignation of the government by adopting a motion of censure, the choice of prime minister must reflect the will of the majority in the National Assembly. In short, either he appoints a prime the national assembly wants, or he chooses to dissolve the assembly, which in reality, vould make matters really worse, for it would imply the President won't accept his defeat in the generals.

The real problem with these threads is that there is no agreement between mods and users on which topics are "too unrelated" for the thread, so any discussion can be ignored or deleted by a mod if enough reports are submitted against it. If you want a cleaner GG thread you need to summon Mark and tell him what things you want to keep seeing here and what you don't, and for that you need to agree among yourselves first. Blogposting? 80-90's anime discussion? International politics? E-celebs and vtubers? [insert fetish here]? Financial discussion? [insert another fetish here]? Meta autism outside the meta thread? [insert yet another fetish here]? Vidya recommendations that could be asked on QTDDTOT first? Nothing? Everything? What do you expect from this general?
>>170317 Ukraine is on-topic as well, because that's going to be the go-to setting for COD and military shooters for years to come, most likely.
>>170319 Not to mention it actually has affected vidya, for starters it stopped stalker 2.
>>170317 I wasn't saying they weren't and I had no problem with that being here. Yet if that is here, then so can a long post about anime that appears only once or twice in a thread. The sperging over those posts was unwarranted yet now we have to argue about it because I'm not being polite with the faggots reporting my posts (which broke NO rules) anymore.

>>170325 It seems extremely stupid that higher-quality posts are apparently more likely to get deleted for being offtopic, since length/effort attracts attention and reports, when countless equally offtopic posts or people responding to formulaic derails aren't. That seems practically designed to make the thread a wasteland that's as unpleasant to browse as possible. Some guy making a post about anime every few days seems both more pleasant and less likely to significantly derail the thread than /pol/ stuff about vaccines or whatever, yet the latter rarely gets deleted. Though I'm not sure if it's even the post being high-effort that's the issue, it might just be that his first post specifically mentioned it was offtopic and that got people to actually think about his posts being offtopic in a way they don't for the hundreds of other offtopic posts every thread. >>170342 >higher-quality posts are apparently more likely to get deleted for being offtopic, since length/effort attracts attention and reports, when countless equally offtopic posts or people responding to formulaic derails aren't Yes, that's what we've seen occur with not just the imageboard format, but also the Reddit-style forum format when it comes to the corruption of a given moderation staff. As such, if the moderation staff is corrupted from its stated purpose (or just in general not conducive to genuine discourse), what you'll see on a website is the absolute bare minimum of effort in every given post. Length will be extremely short. Content will be extremely low quality and–this is important–wholly "inoffensive." No one is willing to put in their time and effort to create quality when it can (and will) be erased in an instant, so the site naturally settles down into the lowest common denominator. >>170343 GG is intrinsically /pol/. >>170359 But why wouldn't we apply that to everything that has a place? Why wouldn't generic video game news get deleted and segmented into video game news threads? At that point why wouldn't this thread be strictly about video game journalist issues? Maybe that's how you want the thread to be treated and that's fine, but the way it is actually being used is in complete opposition to that. I think anime is significantly more "on topic" than generic /pol/ shit and I think snuffing out discussion as innocuous as anime talk serves no meaningful purpose. It doesn't derail the thread in the same way that /pol/ shit does. I would agree with you if the site wasn't irredeemably dead. But it is.

>>170234 I think there's also a lot of value in taking information and compiling it in a spreadable format. A lot more people will quickly read about something than research it themselves, so even a pretty small amount of effort can have a noticeable impact. For instance I don't normally make infographics but a couple years ago I took a few bits of information posted in this thread and made pic related. Not only did it spread to places like halfchan, it became the header of a Sankaku Complex article: https://www.sankakucomplex.com/2020/03/16/patreon-totally-not-banning-all-anime/ Along with infographics the same principle applies to other cases where you're taking information and putting it together in a way that's easily understandable and spreadable.

The thing that needs to be kept in check is stuff that threatens to take over the thread or become the reason people come to the thread, usually /pol/ stuff. And there's been plenty of times when anons have talked about the manga they're reading or anime they're watching without a single person complaining. There was a conversation about various seasonal anime like the skeleton isekai and Ya Boy Kongming not that many threads ago. Something like 3,000 a day. So a handful of them being at food processing plants is hardly something to raise an eyebrow at. The plane crashes are a bit odd, but highly ineffective. If you're only going to disrupt a few key food production facilities (of which even the largest ones are barely a blip of the total food production) - you'd be better off staging a bacterial infection and let HACCP regulations do their thing. I suspect the reason is that Trump or his family got threatened into 'stupidity' and if Trump is vulnerable you can bet your ass Musk would be too. If you want my cynicle opinion, Twitter probably will not unban those who got banned and Twitter will probably not fire the people who ban users, who are the real problem and not accountable at all. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is Strength. Google is God. https://amgreatness.com/2022/04/25/google-launches-new-inclusive-language-function/ https://archive.ph/MaOGZ Google Launches New ‘Inclusive Language’ Function >The search engine giant Google has rolled out a new feature that acts as an auto-suggestion for changing certain language to more politically correct terms. >According to the Daily Mail, users who type out certain words will be faced with several suggestions encouraging them to adopt language that is gender-neutral, or otherwise more politically correct. For example, “landlord” will yield suggestions such as “proprietor” or “property owner,” while “mankind” will lead to the suggestion of “humankind.” “Policeman” is now recommended to be “police officers,” while “housewife” is to be replaced with “stay-at-home spouse.” >This feature also applies to transcriptions of interviews and speeches from the past. When John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address in 1961 is transcribed and put to the test, Google recommends that Kennedy’s use of “for all mankind” be changed to “for all humankind.” Although the feature is meant to resemble the auto-correct feature used for misspelled words, the deliberate attempt to outright change correct words to more politically correct terminology has already drawn backlash. >“Google’s new word warnings aren’t assistive, they’re deeply intrusive,” said Silkie Carlo of the watchdog group Big Brother Watch. “This speech-policing is profoundly clumsy, creepy and wrong, often reinforcing bias.” Sam Bowman, with the online magazine Works in Progress, said that the new system “feels pretty hectoring and adds an unwanted political/cultural slant to what I’d rather was a neutral product [as] a user.” >When asked to address the controversial new changes, a Google spokesman claimed that “our technology is always improving, and we don’t yet [have] a solution to identifying and mitigating all unwanted word associations and biases.”

<A barrage of assault, racism and rape jokes: my nightmare trip into the metaverse >A new documentary sees a reporter don a VR headset and head into the world that’s supposed to be our future. Within 10 minutes, she had witnessed the most disturbing sights of her life – in a space seven-year-olds can access >-within the first 10 minutes of putting on a VR headset and entering a chat room, I saw underage kids simulating oral sex on each other. I experienced sexual harassment, racism and rape jokes. At one point, I heard someone say “I like little girls from the age of nine to 12: that’s just my thing.” >I came across one user who was spewing the most disgusting language I’ve ever heard in my life, to the point where we couldn’t even broadcast what he was saying. I’m talking extreme racism – hate speech, listing the kinds of people he hated, the kinds of people he wanted to kill. It was just so violent. And it all happened in a room I was able to access despite using a profile that I’d listed as being 13 years old >I went into chat rooms and people were berating me, actually screaming at me. At one point, seven users surrounded me and tried to force me to remove my safety shield so they could do things to my body. I tried to run away, but they backed me up against a wall, trying to grab at me, making sexual comments. It was the virtual equivalent of sexual assault >That breaks down the wall between real and virtual behaviour. >>170679 >>170683 Ironically a popular English imageboard term for it is "chans", due to characters being given names like Christ-chan or Ebola-chan. I guess it's an English counterpart to how Japanese sometimes uses English loanwords to mean something different (like "bitch") or combines them in weird ways to make "Japanese-made English" Wikipedia calls it "Moe anthropomorphism", distinguishing it from anthropomorphism in general, while the KnowYourMeme article is titled "Gijinka / Moe Anthropomorphism". Wikipedia also says the Japanese term is "moe gijinka", so I don't know how much "cuteness" implications there are on using "gijinka" on its own. "Gijinka" seems to also be used to refer to human versions of characters like Sonic or My Little Pony characters who are already anthropomorphic, probably because it literally means "humanization", but I don't know if that usage also exists in Japan.
>>170654 To live in a "right-wing echo chamber" almost requires living in an actual sealed off chamber at this point. This is because most people who make entertainment are either leftwing or pressed into going along with leftwing ideals. >>170724 It's going to get worse as VR continues to mature. There's a lot of fun stuff that I've been doing to AI NPCs in VR games that have actually made me feel more empathetic to those character than I ever did in a 2D screen. Something about the sense of "presence" in a virtual world carries with it some additional baggage from real-world social interactions. Now, if you're not a complete retard - there is never a point in which the reality/fantasy barrier is broken. It's more like an optical illusion that you know is just a brain trick - but it's still there when you look at it. Kind of a neat phenomena really, but you can't expect others (especially if they're not used to it, like a fucking reporter with a pre-set narrative to spin or an uninitiated parent) aren't going to see it the same way. There's going to a bunch of groups trying to co-opt VR as a tool to teach anti-descrimination and increase empathy - then get horrified when people use their progressive programs as a way to abuse the avatars in fun ways. Once they've been forced to admit that they can't stop people from having fun with it, they're going to demonize VR the same way they did violent games in the 90's/00's, and the same way they're demonizing attractive women in games today. Same shit, new technology, and the cycle goes on. The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal could have been a decent quest mod if they hadn't spent 90% of the mod sucking off the Champion of Cyrodill and shoving in meme references. Trump Says He Will Not Return to Twitter Despite Musk Purchase https://www.ntd.com/trump-vows-not-return-to-twitter-despite-musk-purchase_770913.html https://archive.ph/aAzs2 >Former President Donald Trump, banned from Twitter, said he will not return to the platform even after businessman Elon Musk takes over. “I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on Truth,” Trump told Fox News. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on Truth.” >Trump’s rival company, Truth Social, started accepting signups in February. Truth switched to Rumble’s cloud this month in a move the company said would enable it to “scale significantly” after users reported spending weeks on a waitlist. However, the platform is only available for iPhone users to download on Apple’s app store. >“We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on Truth is much better than being on Twitter,” Trump said, claiming there was “no interaction” on Twitter before he was removed because of the censorship of conservatives. “The interaction on Truth has been amazing,” he added. Nunes said on Fox News on Monday that Truth is recording “more engagement” than Twitter is, though it’s unclear what measure he was citing. >Truth, he added, is “taking the best of all these social media platforms, putting them to one, inviting people on and not censoring them.” Unless you tell the truth about literally any topic, that is. Are you winnin' yet, Qultists?

>>170769 Anon there are basically two stages, the middle east and south america. They aren't that long and are broken up by tons of cutscenes. Chapter 3 opens with a boring assassin's creed follow mission followed by a rail sequence. The return to shadow moses is a glorified walking simulator with a couple boss fights with lots of "hey remember THIS?" The finale is also just a series of setpieces with no real gameplay to speak of. It's like 85-15 cutscenes to gameplay ratio. >More feature rich than MGSV I don't buy this at all. Hardest part of that mission is not being TOO sneaky. Then shadow moses which includes another vamp fight and a fully controllable metal gear on metal gear fight. Not to be missed for sheer joy. Then theres arsenal gear. Now that's a mission you can get your sneaking on in. And finally that ocelot fight. Where the trick is once again knowing he wants to lose. Don't fight him to hard and he hugs and kisses you. And then theres the weapons. In light of peace walker and v this may seem formulaic, but this is where customization began. And yeah there's several neat little weapons including the boktai solar gun. It's a good game.
>>170137 The biggest line being debated wasn't directly translated here even in the "correct" translation. 確かに見ることも、感じることも、信じることも、触れること… すべて、できない方がよい。 The most direct translation of this would be something like "Certainly seeing, feeling, believing, and touching... It would be better if all of these were impossible." すべて here which means all, but is completely absent in the "correct" translation. 確かに also doesn't mean "clearly", but "certainly". 確かめる is to ascertain, not "to make certain / verify", "not elucidate / make clear". Also you'll note that there is no 律 in the original text, but the "correct" translation inserts "the order". Objects, subjects, and other parts of speech are often dropped from Japanese and left to be inferred from context, so maybe she did mean to imply doing these actions to the order, I dunno... Never played the game because of my shit PC, but it definitely doesn't explicitly say so in the text at all, unlike the "correct" translation. The long and the short of it is that the official English version of that line at least is closer to the JP original than the supposed "correct" translation, only it's been reworded to sound like natural English instead of translationese.

It will energize the dying particles and draw them together, forming larger and larger collections of energized matter that consumes all in undying rage until it reaches a point of singularity that breaks time and space - inverting dimensions and tearing the fabric of reality asunder - exploding outwards into a great expansion that gives birth to a new universe.

>>170789 Looks like a mix of CWC and pic related.
>>170799 I dunno. I can regularly run games that demand a "minimum" requirement higher than either my GPU or CPU are supposed to be able to run. I only get "crash on launch"es from games that need a specific posthumous instruction set that my CPU doesn't support. Still only a handful of those so far. Thanks, server chips from 2009!
