The resent issue with "pedophile keywords" being weaponized against the site has placed ideas and options on the administrative table that weren't there before. While the site staff are content with any community that follows global rules, we do have a carve out for subcommunities that engage the site in bad faith in an effort to harm it. These groups are subject to provisions of Global 3, 4, and if necessary, Global 0 in order to prevent their activities from destroying the site and depriving the other boards and communities of their home. Balancing this with the principles of free speech isn't easy, and is the single largest reason why we take every effort to give communities and boards, even unpopular ones or suspicious ones, a fair chance. The "pedo" community on 8moe is quite obviously divided into two principle groups. The first group consists of a few anons who have pedophilia as a personal issue and simply want a place and a community to talk about their problem and experiences. These anons are unpopular with the site community, but have generally kept to themselves, followed global rules, and not otherwise caused trouble. Under the site's governing principles they are welcome on 8moe, even to have their own board and to be treated no different than any other anons. The second group in the "pedo" community have presented themselves as evangelicals and advocates for illegal activity. Some number of this group have now engaged in activity that directly threatens the existence of the site, and that changes the game. We're quite aware that this pot is being stirred by such people directly as well as by third parties like "herdniggers" as mods have coined them, and that an amount of this activity is being done as shitposting. With respect, none of that changes the damaging outcome that permitting such activity invites. Skirting the global rules, attempting to toe them closely, and then making the equivalent gesture of "whoops, I went over! :^)" has happened frequently enough to become an identifiable pattern, and in sum the anons doing this are trying to ruin the experience for the anons who merely want a place to be treated fairly and talk. That the situation has now escalated to a potential sitewide threat, and because the implementation of wordfilters to non-aggressively solve the issue is being flaunted in other ways, we are considering other measures if these activities continue. To the members of the "hebe" community who are tired of the problems caused in their name and who don't want to be caught up as victims in some wide-sweeping rule change, we assure you that you are not being forgotten or dismissed. To the others, we'd like to ask you one last time to please not shit where you eat. It's been said to us by anons like you that no place else welcomes you, and we have to question why, then, you would want to aid or abet the destruction of the one place that does.
