>I came to you, once. And I'd like to say I was made all the better for it.
We'll get new blood. Personally I found my way to /k/ after someone mentioned /k/ in a /tg/ thread in like 2012, so I'm hardly a /k/ oldfag myself. I was actually anti-gun for my first few months on /k/ and just lurked out of morbid fascination, and I don't even know when it clicked for me that I had become deeply in love with weapons of all sorts and no longer feared them.
>they seemingly were flooding the board to ensure our culture would die with us.
I will never forgive the ones who did that or the jannies who were clearly complicit in it.
>any newfags who came wouldn't come to know /k/'s culture, but Ukraine crap and general NAFO spamming.
It really hurt seeing that Norktard newfag fall for it, he had so much potential. I think some of the other newfags did follow us here, so we have to make sure to be firm with them and make sure they assimilate board culture properly without that fucking tumor.
> When everyone on the board was younger
When I turned 30 a few years ago I decided I was finally no longer too cool for Anime and sat down and watched the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Rozen Maiden. Getting older doesn't mean you can't enjoy things anymore or be cool, we can in fact get cooler still. A lot of our best /k/ommandos have been old, Oppenheimer was like 60 or something.
>poorer
Just don't be a judgemental asshole about being more established in life, if someone can only afford a hi-point then be happy for them for getting it. The gun in your hands is priceless, while the gun you don't have is worthless.
>Some, but I don't recall many.
I saw a lot of them being pushed towards buying guns they couldn't really afford or being ridiculed for not already having guns.
>We were already being starved of new posters to "carry on the torch".
We just weren't being fun or interesting anymore, so most new people didn't stick around. We're not being prevented from being fun anymore, so that'll change and new people will come, we don't have to proselytize or anything, we just need to be ourselves and be fun and not so welcoming that newfags don't feel they have to fit in. /k/ never advertised before, in fact we said "welcome to /k/, now git the fuck out". We just need to stretch out our creative muscles again and get to having fun, and word will spread whether we like it or not.

>They recently added a /k/ board there
wonderful, I hope the shills go there instead of here. Maybe we should go there and shitpost to make it seem more alive to attract more shills.

>And now for us to be reduced to this. This must be how the Eastern Romans felt.
<great, now we've gotten rid of the dead weight and the barbarians, let's have a more prosperous and stable empire than ever before
srsly though we're pretty much all here and we're all more mature and experienced, but we still are capable of being cool and fun. This is not the beginning of the end, we just were freed of everything making the board bad.
