>>21973 (OP) this is funny. in my current country of residence, robocalls that are made to sound real are not a thing (yet), and 100% scam calls are not a thing period. scammers have to rely on WhatsApp using non-local numbers, and shit like that. when i get a call from a telemarketer, which is not a frequent event, i simply quickly hang up to save my time and theirs, so they can go to the next number on the list quickly. one time i did this, the young woman telemarketer on the other end took offense and called me back to give me a talking to about respect. i kept my mouth shut and didn't hang up, especially considering she sounded a bit lobotomized (genuinely, i'm not being sexist).

>>21983 don't view coding as a challenge. the basics are trivial. it's just data grouping (e.g. structures), control flow (e.g. for loops and =if conditionals), and IO (e.g. printing text, reading from a file, downloading from a link). start with a shell language like bash or zsh. this should help you with automating tasks immediately. then from there, you can go lower level (abstraction wise) one step at a time as needed. you can try a scripting language like Python or Lua, or do a supposedly easy language with static types like Go. do note that i don't personally like or use any of these languages myself (by choice). avoid M$ crap. avoid big languages like C++ (it's shit besides being big). and if you ever reach system-level, do C without sinking too much time into it, then do Rust. but really, you could be satisfied and done already with Lua and/or Go.
