Probably my biggest issue with drawing is that there's not a specific way to learn it. *specially if you're third world poorfag and can't pay official classes* Some instructors tell you to start with figure drawing, some tell you to start with proportion with simple figures and another tells you to start with anatomy and pose models and even to start with the contour then fill the details later. So based on this old guide I decided for something else: I draw from models then try to draw specific parts of the skeleton inside (obviously having looked at a skeleton model earlier to have an idea of how it should look on certain angles), ex; today is torsos and yesterday was heads etc, Is this a good idea? What is your recommended path to learn human anatomy?

I started drawing for almost a year using the resources from this thread and /loomis/. Improvement in skill comes incrementally and builds on previous fundamentals, and one resource I'd recommend is the plan over at drawabox.com since it starts with basic line control, then moves onto construction and perspective, and then branches off to more specific subjects like plants/animals/vehicles/people, and importantly encourages you to solidly understand the fundamentals of each lesson so you have a solid foundation for the next one. As far as the second, it doesn't really matter which medium you use to learn how to draw though it would benefit you to use physical media like pen and paper because it would help you learn to accept mistakes and work around them (as opposed to endlessly hitting crtl+z) and also allow for more experimentation with line weight, shading, and control more easily than digital would. The most important thing is to continue drawing, and to experiment often to see where your weaknesses lie. There's a story (https://archive.is/v5uo7) I don't know if it was an actual study or not where sculpting students were split into two groups: one group had to focus on quality while the other had to focus on quantity, and the group that focused on making more pots learned more about the process and made more higher quality pieces because they learned and corrected their mistakes from experience and practice. I've always kept that in mind when working on art and it's something I think is motivating even when you're not happy with what you've made, because you can at least recognize what you've done well or not and improve upon it.
