/fringemeta/ Anonymous 07/05/2024 (Fri) 17:06:59 No. 1509
This thread is for the discussion of anything related to the management or future of /fringe/
>>14035 Agreed. >>14036 >I think it's the perfect for attention deficit children. Exactly. It's a signpost saying that this website is for attention deficit children. If that's who you cater to, that's who your userbase will become.
>>14038 >this website is for attention deficit children Where do you think you are?
>>14041 /sunflower/?
>>14035 I also agree.
>>14041 So this is why the new intrusive thought thread had a large energy output. /b/ my beloved fuels the fire. >>14038 >that's who your userbase will become I was making a joke that several people here act like attention deficit children already. If they want proper textual stickies then they should start practicing and become worthy for it. >>14044 check your numbers. 404 sunflower not found.
>>14044 A website for attention deficit children who speak spanish and post about fetish porn. Better to adjust your visuals so you fit in rather than trying to get kicked out by being too different.
/sunflower/ was intentionally made to look that way because of earlier experiences - if you post about terrorism and blood sacrifices with photos of your bleeding wrist and your rifle w/ pentagram drawing you get quickly banned, and sometimes your devices get taken away by police, or worse. So a more child-friendly varnish was placed over both the discord server and the board. It apparently worked so well that the criticism is now about it being BS, almost no one goes after the actual content this mask was meant to obfuscate, and it remains like this to this day. What do you think happens if this post is viewed from the overboard? Nothing, no one cares about anime posters
>>14051 I realized long ago that not being taken seriously is far better than being considered as a threat in modern society. Even in history you got lynched for being a witch. Nowadays we are just silly larpers. Freedom can take many shapes. Posting too colorful pictures takes you off the list while posting dark and grimy pics puts you on it. Was fearing the day when I have to mask my posts as some DnD larp or pretend be a furry because the USA military is full with furries so they will think I am their colleague
>>14053 Friends are not furries! They just have fur.
>>14055 Always want to go to /fast/ and ask them if having sex with a sonic character makes them a furry or not. And the Kemono show crashed harder than sunflower. I watched the first 2 ep when it aired but got bored of it. The show was overhyped because it's airheaded theme but vanished fast after that disastrous 2nd season when they kicked out the main author for some reason. Not trying to draw parallels here. But some things work. Others not. No one really knows what makes things work until they break
>>14057 What? Always give something 3 eps before you decide. KF got slowly addictive as it proceeded, it was hyped because despite its simplicity it was fun. Season 2 was good, I liked it. The original author was kicked because he didn't have the needed inspiration to make season 2, but officially it was because he used studio resources to animate a 12 min extra episode which he posted online, which was not authorized by the studio. Can't do that in Japan, he was asked to resign so he wouldn't be kicked, which puts a mark on your record.
>>14057 The origin story also made good lore. It started as this mobile game, which was already shut down by the time the anime was released. Then after its success, a lot of spin-offs and new games followed, along with fanart and a general interest in zoo parks in Japan, where they started using the Friends to characterize animals. It's a perfect story of nonsense creating more nonsense.
>>14061 See the Zen of the mini-anime.
>>7822 >Consistently a top board for half a year This is no longer /fringe/. I want my money back.
>>14517 You paid nothing tho
>>14517 >Consistently a top board This is not a real accomplishment since the top board list was expanded during the 4chan refugee crisis. Every board with 2 or more daily users becomes a top board. Only dead boards are unable to make the cut. If the previous top board list size was still in effect we would be fighting for top board status every day.
/b/ is looking for janitors. If anyone here wants to become a hotpocket, apply here: >>>/site/15853

>>14517 You have to go into the hotpocket mines >>14979 to get your money back
>a single file cannot be bigger than 32 MB for upload Guess am not gonna upload .flac into the fringe music thread anymore.
>>15552 Everything wanes anyway.
We need an esoteric hitlerism thread.
>>15587 The most secret and sacred function of fringe. The thread creation! To be initiated into the sacred arts of /fringe/. You need to dare to make a thread. To reach adepthood. You need to create a Good Thread! Many fails at this task, yet that very few and brave souls try making those threads day after day in hopes they might contribute to this board and save the souls of these poor lurkers! When someone dares to make a good thread the spirits and the devas clap in amazement. Their thunderous claps can be heard through the ether and will beacon through the entire cosmos! Just don't make question threads and you will be fine. It's not that hard. Fine. Some of the captchas are hard. It is the one true trial of thread creation.
So how are we archiving all these bumplocked threads? Does the site archive them somewhere automatically? Is someone already archiving them manually? Or are they currently at risk of permanent erasure once they get bumped off the catalog?
>>17147 How long can the catalog go on this site anyway. I am asking because not a single thread managed to get bumped off the catalog yet. Other boards have more than 20 pages. I don't think getting bumped off the catalog is a real danger here. We still don't have the same amount of shit threads like on 8kun.
>>17147 >>17304 /hisrol/ and /britpol/ both have 29 pages and they seem like the longest boards, so it may max at 29.
Are we /x/ yet?
I notice that thier are way more people here , and also that the """""'normal"""""" /X/ on 4chan , is kind of baren of organic conversstion , which considering my standars is basically 0. I assume this is just part of a drip and imigration of image boards , that happened when people moved to the /X/ here , and just now are they dripping off to /fringe/. But I smell something is off , is thier something I can do as kind of a newfag , but not the same type of newfag as this wave of people.

>>18202 There was a strange negative energy and idiocy wave in the past 2 weeks. Wanted to mention it, but it was too minor and idiotic to even bring it up. It was the "ignore and it goes away" kind of thing. >>17400 We still don't have enough retards and tripfags for that.
>>18205 >There was a strange negative energy and idiocy wave in the past 2 weeks. Wanted to mention it, but it was too minor and idiotic to even bring it up. It was the "ignore and it goes away" kind of thing. I have heard this boars does kind of shake off , people overtime So maybe I am just overthinking it and I should just make a good treath and just wait for the storm to pass.
>>18294 I wouldn't have any experience with riding on boars, but I'd be careful about making threats.
(1.22 MB 854x480 Boar riding.mp4)

>>18295 >>18294 Some new threats on this boar would surely help. I like his newfig humor. I remember when the flag was called newfig and not newfag. But newfags wouldn't get it, so it's better kept this way for clarity.
Now that the neocity links have been nuked, should we give sticky design ideas for the BO? Or the BO figured out how to solve this issue and he's working on it already.
>>19109 >should we give sticky design ideas for the BO? Please do
>>19138 I was always a bad web designer and the last time I created or edited web pages was back in high school. Thinking about how we should link larger occult libraries or something "Basic" for newfags and neophytes alike. But unsure what. The occult library from 4cuck /t/? Maybe the library from wizardforums or the like? Or some other basic bitch magic tutorials? This greenpilling starting guide idea and how it should look like is always on my head... and I thought the guy who nuked the links would be able to recommend some stuff for the newbs... he was the one who surfed occult forums in his youth all the time. Or maybe keep the sticky as a proper introduction for fringe? Really unsure. Wonder if anyone else have any ideas to add. The possibilities are endless and if it feels off we can change it whenever. There are no bad ideas... I think. Unsure if someone cares enough to remake the fringe archive links. Only the oldest of the oldfags were there when those posts were made. Unsure if newfags even care about the olde fringe at all. The archives are definitely worth keeping, but I am unsure we need these >Look at the shitposts we made 10 years ago Maybe remaking the proper threads would be more beneficial than restoring the archives. I was playing with the idea of remaking the good threads from the past when this board restarted. But was too busy for that and still am. Anyone can remake those threads if they feel like it.

>>1699 I found out about this board after the half chan hacking affair because a general of interest migrated temporally here. I kept tabs open on it just in case, and eventually found this place more of my liking. Halfchan, including 4/x/ can be a funny place for satire now and then and it served it's intended purpose for me to search some valuable information at the time, but when it comes to constructive exchanges of any kind it falls short, and of course, there are virtually zero magic users on that place. I'm glad to find /fringe/ as it seems like a place on the web that still have honest practitioners and metaphysical discussion from that perspective, it's refreshing.
