There's no personality with magic hands or floating feathers. For a tickling piece to work, you need whatever's tickling the lee to connect with someone. There has to be some sort of intent behind it to work. If you could see the magician casting the spell summoning the hands of feathers, then floating hands/feathers can work.
Most of what people love here is the lee/ler dynamic, even if the ler barely has more sentience than a rock. You can draw just the Lee's reaction but then you're still missing half the piece. Whether the ler is a sadist, a pervert, a punishment giver, a teaser, or someone being intimate, friendly, curious, or unaware, we need that information depicted to truly enjoy it.
Even if lee is left alone with the lifeless tickling device to suffer, that should be made clear in the drawing alone in order to work.
