OBJECTION! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR4P8o95WPA Let's make room for an Ace Attorney (Gyakuten Saiban for the real ones) thread. With that said, what is there to discuss? The last official new release was almost 8 years ago. There were some great fangames/fancases on court-record to keep one occupied but other than that, the drought is real. Indies like Tyrion Cuthbert or Of The Devil seem to be showing promise though. MR.NICK IS FOR MYSTIC MAYA ONLY

>>1479375 >>1479433 There is a charm to the simpler breakdowns of the original trilogy. Sahwit throwing his toupée is simple yet memorable. On the other hand, they can get really creative in the later games. I like Paul Atishon's hallucination.

Finished the game 100%, not counting UN or Pandemonium. Was breddy fun, shit story and kinda lame ending but it's good. I was expecting the game to suck but I'm pleasantly surprised, it's very fun and aesthetically is a lot closer to 2016 than Eternal which is what I wanted.

Fuga Melodies of Steel 3: The Motherfuger Anonymous 05/30/2025 (Fri) 14:00:23 Id: 285b10 No. 1418200 [Reply] [Last]
This place had a thread for the first and second game, why not the game that ties it all together? First game was piss easy but nailed it's audiovisual presentation, the second game made good improvements gameplay/difficulty wise while making some mixed with it's narrative at the same time by actually focusing on a character and putting some rails. Third game should be able to bypass these issues as the finale and no longer having to pave the way for future entries, but I've only seen diehard fans talk about it so far. I'd have posted a thread earlier but I really wanted a physical edition of all three games and I still have to wait until the niggers running the postal service deliver.

>>1505103 Unlike most people, I don't have seizures if time-travel or multiverse shit comes up in a story. I got some misgivings with it in Fuga 3, but it's not crippling to the game or the story. Plus, there was enough of it in Fuga 2 and the hint from Malt's reactions after the tutorial in the first game that it doesn't come out of left field. Though it's probably for the best that this never returns in a future game. Don't want the next one to be Life is Strange: Kemono Edition. >Really I'd say the problem is less how the second game handles vengeance and more in how it handles Malt's developing foresight/time-travel shit by introducing it in the most annoying way possible As said, it was foreshadowed in the first game after the tutorial, and he never had manual control of it in 2. It was always Maestro reversing time for him whenever he dies in Chapter 1's tutorial, Chapter 4 and the Normal/Bad Ends. What's front and center for more than three chapters is Malt being depressed and becoming an edgelord and everyone else whining about how it's bad for him to want revenge, until he doesn't anymore and they continue doing what they were already doing. This kind of "moral" to a revenge plot is constantly in shounens and it's always pretentious in the way it's handled, as everyone involved that doesn't want revenge stupidly forgets what's at stake until the one who wants revenge decides they don't want it anymore. >Cayenne sucking ass as a final antagonist He's no Hax. I wished he was able to actually try attacking the Berman Empire instead of just being a Nigger that only murdered his own people. That would at least bring something to this revenge theme and justify the war restarting in the third game. Kaiser's worse though. Outside of murdering Malt in the tutorial, he has zero interaction with the Taranis and crew until he's assimilated by the Borg. Then he's just a boss fight like any other. I still find it funny how he looks over the Jagdhund he picks up before realizing he doesn't give a shit if it has a crew or not before hurling it at the Taranis.

>>1506559 It's not about the time powers not making sense or them not having buildup, it's more about how it kept doing the forced loss/Malt Soul cannon shit multiple times. It becomes a very repetitive plot beat and unsatisfying to go through by having Malt being forced into a loss way too frequently on a game ladden with repetition already. There's Malt dying in the tutorial, dying in his revenge spergfest twice I think and Vanilla's Arabian Mau episode that backtracks what happens with Maestro going "tut-tut" each time like an author metaphor that really pissed me off way more than the shounen-shit writing. I'd be even more negative on it if Fuga 3 dropped the ball on those elements and I'm glad it didn't. >This kind of "moral" to a revenge plot is constantly in shounens and it's always pretentious in the way it's handled, as everyone involved that doesn't want revenge stupidly forgets what's at stake until the one who wants revenge decides they don't want it anymore. in hindsight I see it more as introducing a character flaw that Malt has and how it affects the whole crew as it's leader. It's contrived and unsatisfying in a lot of ways, but CC2 wanted to define his role as a protagonist and gave him an arc while setting up the Maestro at the same time and I think it succeeds in that while hitting a higher emotional intensity then the first game by allowing him to have that role. I'd love it as well if they committed to making Jihl the antagonist beginning to end, made the Berman/Gasco conflict more complicated, kept Hanna dead or set the entire trilogy with the tone of Chapter 1 from the third game, but CC2 is what it is and this is what they made. >Kaiser's worse though. My problem with with Cayenne is that he somehow managed to bomb a car with magic kms away, essentially disguise himself for months and control Vanilla with felineko magic and also have a jewel box sized bomb so strong it kills everyone in the tank with 0 buildup at the last 2 chapters. Compare this to the Kaiser who has less bullshit surrounding him that makes him a lot more bearable despite having his own flaws as an antagonist. Bigger difference is that Cayenne is the end note of game 2 while the Kaiser is an act 1 villain that makes way for the second half, so the flaws of the other are more acceptable than the first. I think he does his job as Maestro's despicable pawn and source of most of Berman's evil well enough. Though his main problem is that the first half dedicates a lot of time to setting up the Crimson Knights as the main threat and Maestro rather than the Berman and the kaiser himself. However Maestro is a satisfying antagonist in his own right and the Marzipan family drama lands, so I'm willing to make that concession even if I don't find it ideal. He has some characterization outside of "cat hating dick", but you have to make reaches based on small facts in a trilogy of games that really doesn't do subtlety otherwise, like his depiction in the third game explaining weird details in the second game like why he didn't bother looking for two of his oldest generals.Though this is likely me trying to make the story better for myself by inferring for it. >Though it's probably for the best that this never returns in a future game. Don't want the next one to be Life is Strange: Kemono Edition. I have bad news for you, Mei is going to do some time shenanigans and it's going to get a lot weirder with the coven of her future(?) selves fucking up the timeline hardand it's likely going to be intertwined to Kyle's crime family as the main connecting hook between Fuga and that whore killer game.

Help me /v/. I was remembering this one moral choice from saints row 4. I thought it was funny how people would seriously debate this. However my joy turned to despair as I realized, I cannot think of a moral choice that was more talked about. No seriously, Think about it. People were arguing this quite passionately. It bothers me as I am 99% sure this was just a gag to make fun of moral choices in games. It should not be the most talked about one.

Using the Original Renewal Pack 3 for STALKER Call of Pripyat, if you order a custom G36 from Nimble you'll actually be given an XM8. It's pretty much a reskinned G36 with better stats and a better scope, but damn is it cool once you you open your package.
In Rugrats: Search For Reptar, if you go to the mini-golf stage, "Ice Cream Mountain," (based on the episode of the same name,) Hole 8 has a pyramid feature as decoration. The actual course doesn't interact with the pyramid, and you have no reason to actually approach it, but you can, and if you do, you can find a tunnel to get inside it. If you venture all the way to the deepest part, you'll find a mummified version of the scary robot Mr. Fiend (from the episode "The Mysterious Mr. Friend"). Mr. Fiend will chase you, and if you lead him all the way out into the sunlight, he explodes.

>>1806272 >You're describing its combat from a perspective of someone who did barely any pve You mean the post where I was talking about my experience with the combat at low levels? Yeah no shit retard. Considering you didn't actually expand on why the combat is any different than I described I'm going to assume you're just butthurt and it isn't one of those things that actually develops any fluidity for 4538 hours and a $100+ on expansions despite MMOniggers trying to gaslight people into being just as miserable as they are.
>>1807065 You could have jumped into pvp at lvl 3 and see for youself. The combat is fast, fluid and still tactical, it has real projectiles, harder hitting abilities have a stronger feel of both connecting and missing, it has real animation cancelling and about face tricks that you can use to feint and bait. Dodging, blocking and other forms of avoiding or negating damage are frequent and important so you're not just trading damage in a pseudo-real time game like WoW and other non-action combat systems but you can still play some specs that rely mostly on tab targetting. There are visual tells for boons (buffs) and players who fail to keep track of enemy boons and utilize their own can get deleted real fast in a fight that can otherwise go for a good amount of time if both sides know what they're doing. Buffs can be dispelled, stolen or corrupted into debuffs. Finishing a downed opponent is something even experienced can still fuck up and let the enemy rally into round 2. Like other core mechanics it's really good at the easy to learn hard to master design idea. I could keep going about the unique class design etc. but at certain point it's like trying to describe fucking to a virgin. It should be experienced. Arenanet's megalomaniacal founders are long gone and whatever is left of the company pivoted to a business model that was basically their fat feminist writers farting awful stories no one cared about and adding cash shop slop around them which obviously didn't work and is to be blamed for the next pivot that made the game a lot more expensive because even pvp which was very accessible before is now increasingly more paywalled with every mini-expansion they release. I didn't buy anything since they've changed to this model 3 years ago and don't even play anymore but I dont' like seeing reddit-tier analysis of the first few minutes of the game slandering one of the best systems in the genre.
>>1808514 >You could have jumped into pvp at lvl 3 and see for youself. I did and PvP felt okay, but is obviously not representative of PvE combat so is completely irrelevant to the point being made. Your romanticized description of the game doesn't acknowledge that just going around hitting mobs in the world feels like complete shit, which is what the player is going to spend dozens of hours doing, potentially hundreds. 99% of MMO players could not possibly care less about the nuances of PvP tech.

Seeking for some geimu suggestion and small review of it Anonymous 05/28/2025 (Wed) 03:46:45 Id: 85767d No. 1410369 [Reply] [Last]
I'm trying to find some geimus on my own through using Google and the Steam store page and then downloading it afterwards with QBittorrent and then setting it all up with Lutris and Proton wine, and praying to Gayben that it doesn't run like shit. I'm primarily interested in FPS and RPG games. For RPG games I'd would like to have the ability to use a bow and a sword basically and not being limited to only 1 weapon type like how it is common with other RPG games. I am a casual pleb player, so I am not exactly seeking for a challenge. I just want to kill shit and seeing numbers go up. I don't except from anons to make KC tier review post but at least give me some short description of a geimu if its at least fun to play or not. By fun I mean it doesn't contain bullshit mechanic that would piss me off, I don't have patience anymore for games that punishes the player too hard for not gitting gud enough, I'm too old for this shit. So far one of the pirated games I played a lot recently is "My Times at Sandrock" I don't know how to exactly describe it but its well a open world game with crafting system and it's made in piece of shit unity engine but at least it is performant and doesn't lag too much apart from that sometimes it takes ages for assets and menu to load because god knows why. I am not really happy with this game because despite there is combat in this game the only weapons I can access right now are melee weapons which are like at least 4 base variants available as well a upgraded form of it, there is not even at least a fucking bow or crossbows weapon available, there are ranged weapons in this game like pistols and even a assault rifle but they are locked behind some fucking quests which is not open to me yet so I am stuck with this sword and shield combo which pisses me off. I have almost 60 hours in it already in this game according to Lutris. I installed some mods for this game to make it slightly less annoying to play such as extended day time, machine production speed, because those coders had the brilliant idea to tie machine speed to the day time speed and no commission limit so that I can do more than one commissions in this game. <Wigmund I pirated this game but didn't played it for long, I fiddled around with the settings of this game because I'm left handed I always need to change the key binding of games. Anyway so far the performance is not so bad but the way the gameplay works in this game is kinda ass, for example it is not exactly obvious what is interactable or lootable due to lack of any visible hints and clicking on interactable objects feels like it suffers pixel hunting issue, so this game is already a big minus for me. Then I got into combat against a few wolves and died, I noticed too late I didn't made any recent save and then quit because I'm not even told that I need to do regular saves because I cannot be resurrected in this game at all. So far the game doesn't look fun to play. <Ancient Kingdom I played it for only over 1 hour on it and not more. It's a 2D RPG game with a few classes to play as, so I picked the ranger class because it can use bows and swords, just what I wanted. There isn't that many ability to grind for which is a let down, I can't really tell how this games fares in later stage because I didn't leveled up much. I once got my ass kicked by the skeleton boss because I was doing a quest for gathering some flowers and since the skeletons where slightly higher level then me but I could kite them more or less easy I thought I could defeat the first boss but nope I couldn't do it. For some reason the sword weapon does barely any damage compared to the bow I have, yes there is a ability that lets me use a powerful sword attack but it comes with a long 5 second cool down timer which is not really ideal. I may play this game more but if it turns out that its not fun to play I will gladly drop it. <Oblivion remastered Honestly I didn't had much hope for this UE 5 engine shit slop to run well on my machine, I have to turn down the graphics settings to medium and lowering other settings so that I sort of get at least 50-60 FPS frames, I don't even get a stable 60 FPS from this game. I am not really impressed by this remaster, the main reason its just more of the same exact shit like OG Oblivion just slapped down with the piece of shit UE 5 engine. I played of this game for about 31 hours but I ended up playing the OG oblivion for at least over 88 hours instead because it runs well and it has tons of mods for me to install. So the verdict is that I don't want to play this remaster any more and I'd just play OG oblivion instead. <Unreal Tournament 1999 and 2004 Classic Arena Shooter games, I own for the 2004 version a legit german copy which I installed a Blood patch for it already long time ago. I play those games from time to time against bots because its just a simple shooting fun with no dumb shit in it. I play both of those release but I have no preferences for either of these, I like them both. I don't mind having to play against bots as long the bots are not dumb as a brick and they do give me some challenge. But i always end up winning like 100% of the matches because I didn't set the difficulty to any higher. I would love to make some weapon mods for those games but I have no idea how the fuck I am supposed to learn Unreal Script. Man that was back in the time when Epic Games was based and not full of shit.

The Last of Us Season 2: Electric Trannygaloo: The Movie: The Thread Anonymous 04/08/2025 (Tue) 03:57:55 Id: 2f9241 No. 1087091 [Reply] [Last]
The review embargo just lifted for this wonderful series which I know is near and dear to the hearts of many a /v/irgin, so I am making this thread so we can discuss how the TV adaptation of our favorite video game is going! To start off, here are a few noteworthy articles >'The Last of Us' Season 2 Review: Somehow, the Best Video Game Adaptation Ever Only Got Better https://archive.ph/udHG4#selection-1005.0-1005.94 <While the first game is a fairly straightforward narrative that made perfect sense for an adaptation, the second game, The Last of Us: Part II, is a story that felt like it couldn’t exist with the same power in another medium. There are years of flashbacks, multiple changing viewpoints, and some of the most tragic and difficult losses you’ve ever had to reckon with in a video game. It should be a logistical nightmare for any TV series, and yet, with Season 2, Mazin and Druckmann prove once again why HBO's The Last of Us is the strongest video game adaptation ever. At times, the show might deviate from the path, but it all works, even heightening and improving a phenomenal season of television that does justice to arguably the best story in video game history. >Pedro Pascal Wasn’t Allowed To Play ‘The Last of Us’ Video Game https://archive.ph/irHu5#selection-1005.0-1005.63 <During a video interview prior to the release of The Last of Us, Pascal confessed that while showrunner Craig Mazin asked for his leading actors not to play the game, he picked up the controller anyway. "My nephews were watching me play and eventually got tired of my inability to complete the level, so they took my controller from me," Pascal told IGN during the video interview. "But then we started shooting the show and living in the world ourselves!" Go ahead and post about this shitshow's progress and what your hopes/expectations are, then discuss it in full once it releases! Maybe we'll even get a little /v/-style watch party going? It'll be just like the good old days of watching Gone Home gameplay!!!!!!!!

PC Games of the last two decades (2010-2025) Anonymous 05/27/2025 (Tue) 13:07:28 Id: 81bb9f No. 1407713 [Reply]
Hey, you /v/iewtiful people, I've been extremely out of the loop for the past few years of PC gaming, but going back to some titles I had on my bucket list I realized that I barely had anything worthwhile to play, buy or pirate. I would really like to be reccommended some of the best or most unique PC games that have come out not just the last few years, but in general since the 2010s (about the time I stopped having a lot of time to play games that weren't portable or emulated stuff or "eternal games" a la TF2). More specifically, I'm asking about games that are first and foremost for the PC (so not ports of console games, unless there's a big reason think Sonic Adventure 1-2 with the modding scene), whether they're just indie games or big budget studios is irrelevant to me so long as they're good'uns. I tend to stray away from live service crap because I just hate FOMO, so I'd much rather appreciate it if the suggestions are titles that don't require a centralized infrastructure to run (unless someone reverse engineered it and custom servers are allowed).

>>1407713 i assume you played dwarf fortress so maybe you would like rim world or if you have the turbo autism: factorio.
>>1407713 Doom 2016 Portal 2 Minecraft I recommend specifically version Beta 1.7.3 or earlier
>>1490886 It's not groundbreaking, but Astalon is a good Metroidvania. A decent 15 hour game to clear over a weekend.

>>1459371 That video is interesting, but the audio is so shit it's almost unwatchable. I find it hard to believe that someone who has used Skype since 2006 has that shit of a microphone, so I will blame it on the audio compression of that mp4. Does anyone have the jewtube link to his original video? Maybe I could make a better one. If not, at least I could watch it in better quality. I tried searching for "the discord of discord" and "the discourse of discord" but none of them gave me that video.

>>1481054 You can do that as well, but Bannerlord lords have so few battles that it's quite boring in my opinion.
>>1481585 >but Bannerlord lords have so few battles Are you serious?
>>1481585 that's ok, once, while playing the star wars mod for warband, spent an entire year on mustafar because darth vader got absolutely trounced by a jedi padawan and refused to leave. Gekogujo tho, i've had 2 months of non-stop sieges now, at least i got a lot of experience from it.

any TTRPG players (D&D, idk) with an open spot in their group? Anonymous 06/17/2025 (Tue) 22:18:06 Id: a691a9 No. 1477061 [Reply]
I've been wanting to do this forever but never got a chance to. Every time I think I hit the jackpot and I'm finally gonna have this sort of fun everyone else seems to have so easily, it just never goes nowhere because the other people's hearts aren't really into it For instance, everyone's online but when I ping them it's some bullshit like "uhh I'm VCing with a friend" or "I'm drinking water" or "I'm walking my pet fishes" trying to set up a date and time results in silence. It's frustrating. I tried going into a discord for it, but the people there were politics-obsessed faggots so that didn't go nicely either I don't mind weird shit in the game, I just wanna play. Everyone else has so many *crazy* TTRPG stories.. help a guy out? I don't know how any of this works but I'd like to try and do my best.

>>1477221 FPBP. Thanks a lot for the links Anon. >>1479385 How friendly is our /tg/ here to newfags? I've been curious in role-playing games for a few years now but never had the time to play them myself. Wish there was something like a new player's RPG manual or guide.
>>1482037 Well right now our >>>/tg/ is just me and like 4 other people. I would say we are a friendly bunch. >new player manual. Dont have one, I have 1 tip for you though. You can play whatever you want but its still a cooperative game. Make your character capable of working with others and dont fuck with other players. Even if you play as a cool loner thief you should never steal from other party members.
>>1482043 4 guys still better than nothing, besides, not like smugloli's that much more alive. Good advice you've given though, roleplaying is at its best when done in a group and you've to work within said group not above the others. I've noticed there's a looking for games thread up on tg, I'll give it a look next week after exams. Wish you and your group the best lad.

2025 AAA Gaming Crash Anonymous 04/21/2025 (Mon) 06:54:29 Id: ff3590 No. 1188609 [Reply] [Last]
I predict a gaming crash will happen as a result of the failure of GTA 6. There's not enough consoles out there to support it's sales on a very bloated budget, so it will flop. I think we will see a ripple effect in the AAA gaming industry, maybe even a crash. What do you guys think? The best counter-argument I've seen is that they will make more off of microtransactions in VI's online, but I'm not sure if people will even want to switch from GTA:O.

>>1222985 >>1470871 >>1472498 >>1472781 A ton of these games aren't Rockstar. Rockstar wasn't making GTA until 2002 I think, when they bought out DMA. That means None of those earlier games like Wild Metal and Thrasher are Rockstar, either. They published some of these games, but that's not the same thing. Rockstar fans are just really fucktarded, they're like Blizzdrones circa 2012. I can't believe this thread is still active. This is still the dumbest OP on the catalog.
