Hulkamania did gamergate multiplier combo damage beyond the abilties of every anon out there. It helped wrestling fans indifferent to vg notice that Gawker sucked, which wasn't an entire nothing for us, and it prolongued the length at which gamergate snark articles kept happening and kept up our momentum.
Tactically speaking it was a modest failure for us. Our objective was for Gawker to go into receivership, for the brand to be considered so toxic that no one will buy up even their residual worth, and for all of the staff to have to go to the unemployment office.
We never accomplished bankruptcy and receivership as a result of our campaign. Instead they were sold and bought out before this happened; staff were able to keep their jobs and they never thoroughly learned their lesson about declaring us all dead.
But the great awakening moment of conversion to the right of politics was gamergate to a lot of people. Before the COVID lockdowns and the masks and all of the later BS. The strategic result had no yard stick by which to measure but I consider it successful.
All thanks to you, Hulkamania
